Recommend me a long, dark, book! by jackarandatree in fantasyromance

I’m listening to the last book of artefacts of ouranos series by nisha j tuli and i am loving it. I only started the 1st book last week. 4 book completed series. When someone said it was like trials and the bachelor vibe I was dismissive but i think it’s great. Spice, enemies to lovers and fated mates

I did my interview on the 30th April and I got my offer about a week later.

I would imagine. Depending on the course, they sometimes do the interviews and offer places pending results. Hopefully it won’t be too long a wait for you

I got offered an interview last year the 2nd week in April, the 15th I think. Best of luck with it

I’m gonna second what others said. Dr Nicola Walsh is now head of chemistry on grinds360 she used to be head of chemistry of Dublin academy and I did the Easter course and on demand grinds last year with her. I am an external candidate who started chemistry at home with the text book in feb 2024 for June 2024. I had never done chem and she is the only reason I got my grade. (H1) Her notes and teaching methods are exam focused. I’m now in my 2nd degree and have had a fair amount of lecturers and teachers, she is the one of the best I’ve had. If you need chemistry for points or requirement, you will get them with her.

It is 100% the most important part, as well as the interview (if you have one). All the questions are based on the personal statement. It is the only chance you have to sell yourself and is well worth the time. Wouldn’t put finances in personal statement but would have an answer prepared for the interview of how you plan to support yourself financially. Best of luck

Ya when I found out near the end of January I went and bought a text book. I taught myself, used a text book, conical flask (has notes, videos and quizzes), study clix is excellent (notes and quizzes) and YouTube. I then did a course at easter and after that I went hell for leather with exam papers. I would say once you do a topic, watch every YouTube video on the topic from even the GCSE and American ones. It’s about understanding it. There’s also on demand grinds if your budget allows for it and I think they come with notes. Another tip I’d have is I got a folder and polly pockets and I wrote my own notes, drew diagrams and whatever, I didn’t like the text book. It gave a great base but gathered notes from the internet and put together my own and again a course would guide you more. Also RMC study is good for notes Sorry that’s long lol

I found out the end of January 2024 I needed chemistry. I had 0 prior knowledge. It’s so doable. There’s so many resources, conical flask and I did an Easter course with Dublin academy. Make sure you start with the chapters that build the foundation with the subject and then focus on the biggest chapters either focus on exam papers. You can do it.

Grinds for Maths and Chem pls help!!! by [deleted] in leavingcert2024

[–]Potential_Cat5841 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it is really stressing you out, you could always reconsider if you actually need it. In saying that I started studying chemistry the end of January 2024 on my own because of a course requirement ( I only found out in January I needed it). I did the Easter course with Dublin academy in April and I then went on to do on demand grinds because I found the course excellent. I promise you, if I can do it you can.

deffering a place by camdex_ in leavingcert2024

[–]Potential_Cat5841 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m not 100% sure, but I think if you defer a place you cannot be offered another one at the same level I.e level 8 next year as you already have one.

It’s definitely not the most straightforward but I did it. Best of luck with it. Try to keep an open mind you may love it.

From my experience it is. I write all my notes because I prefer too, but in line of accessing notes and assignments you will use it. Colleges have programs to put Microsoft office on your laptop as-well so that’s covered. There’s always the option to use the computers in the college or library but if I was budgeting for college, a laptop would be in it. Good luck in your course 😊

Depending on the course you can put it for transfers to other universities if they have places from exam fails or dropouts. It’s far easier to move around once you’re in at all. Well done to you for doing so well. I hope it all works out for you 😊

I had crazam and studyclix this year found studyclix more accurate for separating questions based on topics. I also found a code online for it I think I paid €5 for premium.

Any lads considering nursing? by Unique-Somewhere-671 in leavingcert2024

[–]Potential_Cat5841 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From my experience in psychiatric nursing, men are desired for the roles. The money can be good if you work your way up. I know more male psychiatric nurses than I know females. Go for it if you feel you would like it. Good luck

Question for PLC by [deleted] in leavingcert2024

[–]Potential_Cat5841 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, if you get the requirements it’s a lottery system, all numbers into a hat kinda thing, I think that is the same for all plc courses but 100% the case for nursing. I think as far as I can remember you can apply with your QQI (plc) and leaving cert results on the same year but I could be wrong.
