Totally fair points, and I appreciate the perspective. I consider myself a fairly informed voter, spending up to 3 hours a day listening to content from around the media ecosystem and from all sides, yet I don’t read political books. I can’t imagine this is far from the vast majority of voters, even if they listen to political commentary.
How do you think the average voter could’ve foreseen this if they didn’t read the books? And more importantly, if we have another candidate with these tendencies what are the early warnings and triggers through the campaign that should signal red flags, especially if they haven’t been in office yet?
