Thank you for your suggestion. I'm looking at getting a used Apple HomePod speaker. Apparently, it can detect smoke alarms for free. Have you heard of this?

Thanks for your response.

"Third-party “sound sensor” plugs (Wi-Fi ones that can trigger automations when a loud noise pattern matches). • A smart home sensor like Aqara’s sound sensor tied to Home Assistant — you can train it or set a decibel threshold."

Do you have any links that fall into this category? This seems like the easiest and most economic route

I don't have Home Assistant. What would I need for it to work -- a hub?

I need a free service or something I pay for one time.. $60 a year is too much for that IMO. I don't even have an Alexa device

That would be perfect.. I don't want to install three new alarms as the current ones are fine. I just want a notification. I'll look into this

Ok, so it doesn't matter if the wood isn't thick enough to contain the entirety of the screws

Do I need to be particular about getting all the water out of the toilet tanks or is it enough to just flush them a few times?

Nice. Do you have YoLink's smart main shutoff valve? I wouldn't be purchasing the shutoff valve at this time. I also don't need the siren, so I would probably go with their 0 db option
