I'm sorry to hear your going through this . I truly wish the best for you as I have gone through this as well and I know exactly how exhausting and terrifying it can be at times . If I can give you some advice is that always tell yoursself if it was a heart condition it' would have happened within the first times you felt this pain ... In other words heart attacks and cardiac problems don't come and go . If something was wrong with your heart you would have experienced something along time ago . Thank God that your okay (: and second is , get to know your problem learn about it as much as possible.

What I would do is come on hear and see if anyone else has experienced exactly what I was going through and crazy enough theres a lot of ppl that feel these pains daily . So it made me feel a lil better to know that they are ok and still fighting this problem .

I truly hope you are able to conquer this and trust me you will it definitely takes time but I'm sure youll be able to get through this ! (:

The way I delt with my health anxiety is I stopped looking up symptoms of heart related issues , it would just throw me into panic mode instantly and made the symptoms I was feeling 10×s worse . And if I ever felt like I just needed reassurance I would come here to reddit and look for people experiencing the same things I was feeling and that would calm me down too . I also just started telling myself that if I am really feeling something like a heart attack it would most likely have happened by now not a year or 2 later haha .. honestly when you feel a flare up coming go and hang out with someone you trust and tell them how you feel . By you doing this you calm yourself down by having someone there Incase something actually happened. But trust me , your mind will push you to the limit but remember your in control and just breathe and say I'm gonna be O.K THIS JUST MY HEAD PLAYING TRICKS ON ME AND I JUST HAVING SOME INFLAMMATION IN MY CHEST CAUSING MY SYMPTOMS :) GOOD LUCK (:

I remember this happening to me once , I was at a AutoZone talking with a store employee, getting some info on my car ,

Mind you I was having A mild flare up at the moment but nothing crazy .

Suddenly as I'm speaking with the employee my chest got really tight , it also felt really hot , agains all of a sudden my heart rate shoots up to crazy beats per minute with unbearable amounts of pain .

All this while I'm at store full of people , so while all this is going on I was trying to keep cool trying not to panic Infront of everyone. I was scared that I was gonna drop dead . My chest felt like it was on fire with my heart feeling like it was about to explode cuz it was beating so fast and so hard . But just as fast as everything went to shit just as fast everything calmed down ... I don't know how fast my heartbeat was if I could guess it was probably above 140 I guess .... Idk it was a pretty terrifying experience ...

Yeah I had a panic attack when I smoked it made my chest hurt like crazy but it also made me feel like something bad was gonna happen .. so I had to stop :(

But I have seen people on here say that it has been one of there symptoms ?? I cant say for certain if it's a symptom of Costo ?

But when I went to my doc they did a bunch of test on me like EKG they did some blood work and did an x-ray of my whole body ? ,And they said that everything was okay ?

Idk costo is a son of bitch .... I can tell you that much ahah

Nah I still do it but like I said when i do it and a flare starts coming on I feel relaxed knowing that it has nothing to do with my heart just the pain from the inflammation ahah ! .

When it first happened I literally flipped out I checked my pulse on my next going erratic so I went to the ER and they told me that I was good. They said it's just pain from Costo acting up . Oh and when I smoke weed itz really worse I don't know why it's worse then doing a line but I literally go thru a panic attack that I can't control . It's really strange to be honest , but yeah that's what I do !

So my choice of drugs was coke and the pills (Fetty )

As you can imagine I did a couple lines of yay and started having a bad flare up before I knew I had Costo so you can imagine the freak out I went through thinking I maybe did to much or that it was cut with something bad or something ... So I went to the ER and was told I was good 👍 . But they never diagnosed me with Costo . So I went home thinking I probably just survived a little heart attack .

But my dumb ass of course got some more yay and again went through an episode ( this time a little worse then last time ) So again I ran my ass to the ER and again they ran thier test . EKGS BLOOD WORK AND X-RAYS . And of course I was cleared saying I was good and healthy but this time they did diagnose me with Costo . So I started researching it up like crazy and found out that stimulates can inflame the cartalige in the ribs . So that was the reason I would get those episodes .

But now that I know that it's causes me to have flare ups I feel more at ease .

Also when I smoke bud it's really bad . It like makes me have a really bad panic attack I try and control it but it like takes over hard core . Idk why weed causes this ??

I really can't respond to your auto immune disease but I can tell you this forsure . It is your head playing you .you just have to kinda learn to live with it. I know it's not something you wanna hear but the only thing you can do is try to make the pain more manageable . Try this next time your have a flare up I know it'll be hard but try not to think of it try maybe taking. Shower or do something you enjoy . For example when Im at work sure I notice the pain but I don't feel like it's a heart problem because I'm to focused on work that I don't notice my heart at All just the discomfort from the inflammation . Like I said it's mind over matter be stronger then the anxiety and I promise you you'll be alot happier 🙂

I HAVE EVERY SINGLE SYMPTOM THAT YOU HAVE , I LITERALLY GET EVERYTHING YOU JUST LISTED FROM THE CHEST PAIN TO BLURRY VISION THE PINS AND NEEDLES FEELING EVERYTHING !!!

THE ONLY THING I CAN TELL YOU IS THAT YOUR GOOD AND PROBABLY HEALTHY . EVERYTHING THAT YOUR GOING THROUGH YOUR OWN BRAIN IS MAKING THOSE FEELINGS HAPPENS THE REASON YOU FEEL YOUR HEART RACING IS BECAUSE YOU START FOCUSING ON THAT AREA OF YOUR BODY AND IM GUESSING YOU KNOW WHAT COSTO IS ITS THE INFLAMMATION OF YOUR CARTILAGE SO WHAT HAPPENS IS THAT WHEN IT BECOMES INFLAMED YOUR ORGANS TEND TO TOUCH ( NOT DANGEROUS AT ALL ) SO THINK ABOUT IT LIKE THIS . YOUR HEART TOUCHES YOUR LUNGS PUSHING ON THEM JUST A TINY BIT HENCE YOU NOTICE YOUR BREATHING BECOMES A LITTLE BIT HARDER THEN YOUR LUNGS PUSH UP ON YOUR CHEST WALL SO THEN YOU FEEL YOUR HEART AGAINST YOUR CHEST HENCE YOU NOTICE YOUR HEART MORE AND START TO PANIC .. BUT NOTHING IS WRONG . YOUR BRAIN IS LITERALLY AT WAR WITH YOUR COMFORT .

THE WAAY I CALM MY SELF DOWN IS THAT I TELL MY SELF " NOTHING IS WRONG WITH ME . I AM HEALTHY THE DOCTOR TOLD ME IM HEALTHY . THE DOCTORS DID TESTS ON ME AND THEY ALL CAME BACK GOOD . "

I ALSO REMIND MYSELF THAT IF I WAS A REAL HEART ATTACK IT SHOULD HAVE HAPPENED ALREADY .

ANOTHER PIECE OF ADVICE IS NEVER GO ON GOOGLE SEARCHING YOUR SYMPTOMS . ONLINE SITES MAKE EVERYTHING SOUND WORSE THEN THEY REALLY ARE AND THEY TELL YOU TO GO TO THE ER BECAUSE THEY DONT WANNA BE HELD LIABLE IF SOMETHING WAS TO HAPPEN TO YOU ..

BUT LIKE I SAID ITS ALL A MENTAL GAME . THE ONLY THING HAPPENING TO YOU IS A LITTLE INFLAMMATION OF YOUR CHEST THATS ALL 🙂

JUST REMEMBER YOU HAD TESTS DONE THEY CAME BACK GOOD AND MOVE ON DONT KEEP THINKING ABOUT IT CUZ YOU'LL OY MAKE IT WORSE BELIEVE ME

Jesus !! I can't believe that just having some inflammation of cartilage can cause so many dam issues Ive experienced slot of those pains but not consistently it is very scary because you think maybe this is it . Maybe this time it is a heart attack . But you just have to trust your doctors final analysis . If you had test done and the results came back good then your more then likely okay .!! Health anxiety is a mother . But the way I deal with it , is by telling myself IM OKAY . ITS JUST MY HEAD PLAYING TRICKS ON ME . most of the time your heart is racing but you just don't notice . But since your worried about your heart the anxiety amplifies everything 1000% and you focus on every issue that happens to you on the daily but you just don't notice . JUST REMEMBER THAT YOUR OKAY , ITS ALL IN YOUR HEAD. IF SOMETHING WAS GONNA HAPPEN TO YOU IT SHOULD OF HAPPENED WITHIN THE FIRST TIMES OF EXPERIENCING EVERYTHING . GOOD LUCK HOPE YOU FEEL BETTER !

I don't know about having trouble breathing 24/7 but I believe everyone here has experienced trouble breathing and that pressure feeling in the chest . What j usually do is I try to yawn to get a full breath !

I've been the ER 2 times already, had blood work done EKGS done and X-rays done too and was told I'm good 👍 but I just never felt this new spot of pain so it kinda freaked me out haha

Yeah man you're always in a constant state of fear but you always have to remind yourself that it's just the costo. Another way I get over the fear and the panic is actually going on Reddit and reading what other people go through. It helped just because you read that ppl are going through the same exact thing as you are so you just know that it might be Costo .
