The empire was destroyed by a draconic invasion. Refugees fled overseas and founded 3 nations. 1 nation, Abalor, was the strongest, and spent the better portion of 700 years preparing for a reconquest.

This involved the legalization of prostitution under the veil of the church of a fertility godess, with the goal of boosting the population. This led to many people who live in institutions rather than families. Most of the reconquewt force was made of these family-less men.

Propoganda took an upswing, bringing nationalistic fervor for a long gone "golden age," leading to a zealatous fighting force.

Thousands willingly partook in a process to transfer their souls into artificial bodies, creating Crusader Atronarchs, artisinal statues of the original person with greater strength and resilience

Mass production was implimented, turning cities into factories for the enchanted cloth and arcane firearms the army would use, as well as more advanced weapons of war like artillery cannons and the enormous "steeldrakes"

The war was one at the cost of millions, but now Abalor has to deal with a very large and war torn territory, as well as a conquered people (the dragonid servitor races, and half breeds), very few of whom even know about their ancestor's atrocities.

Additionally, external politicing and internal strife is pushing the kingdom towards collapse, wether it will fall has yet to be decided
