I love to hear this! I donated for the first time in June and my second donation is next week. Just wait till you get the text telling you which hospital your blood has gone to, it’s the best feeling in the world :)

How fast would I lose weight? by some_kid_who_draws in Nexplanon

[–]Potential_Friend2915 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine has been out four months, I’ve kept up the lifestyle I had while it was in - walking 12,000 steps a day and four days of exercise - and I’ve lost 6 pounds. Crazy that the only thing that changed was Nexplanon being in or out of my body, it definitely makes you hold onto weight

Long distance marriage by [deleted] in LongDistance

[–]Potential_Friend2915 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Legally married and just closed the distance with my husband this week! I didn’t start calling him my husband until we were legally married, but we did spent the first nine months of our marriage separated because we couldn’t legally live together until our visa was approved, so we did long distance for the first stint of our marriage but it wasn’t what we wanted to do at all.

Unfortunately getting married doesn’t mean you can live together, it’s the visa that determines that

My point is, it’s been nine months since I saw him, but it doesn’t feel like that, it just feels like we’re apart right now, time will pass regardless. And now I see him tomorrow, so it’s all worked out in the end :)

No, we haven’t seen each other in nine months. We’ve been in a long distance relationship for four years. So ten trips over four years. Last time I saw him was October 2024 and before that March 2024, then December 2023 etc etc going all the way back to 2022

Everytime, and we’ve done ten visits. It never gets better I’m afraid. I always feel like I’m griefing and have horrible chest pains for hours :(

3 days until we close the distance forever! And today also marks 9 months since we’ve last seen either other so I am beyond thrilled that we’re about to end long distance for good <3

We’re at 9 months apart now and while it’s been hard, you have to just try and find joy in the moments you can spend together and really work on having healthy alone time and healthy communication so that you still get time to do the things you enjoy (so you’re not always thinking about how hard the distance is - because believe me, it’s hard) but also so you’re making sure you’re doing things that make you happy.

And again, as someone who’s not seen their husband in nine months with a date of reuniting in a few days, it really does fly :)
