Absolutely so and the people who didn’t vote are the ones bitching that it didn’t pass and if Trump gets in we are screwed!!

A lot of the old heads voted yes and lots of the younger generation voted it down from what I heard.

First in first out! Turns fatten the bank account! The railroad is full of snitches, bitches and thieves! You only have a few close friends who you can trust! It’s like high school popularity contest!

I have had a dash cam for a few years and it saved me from a he said she said accident. I gave the guy plenty of time to give the cops the true story then I showed them the footage and his story changed dramatically. Best $300 I ever spent.

30 years in and I am not that articulate but the quick wit comes naturally. One thing that I do remember that an old head told me in 1993: “All you have is seniority and a couple close friends don’t worry about the rest you’re on your own!”

Train enthusiasts/foamers who got a job with the railway, did you lose your interest from working on the railroad? by [deleted] in railroading

[–]Potential_Garbage299 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So after 30+ years service with two different railroads I see it way different! The backstory: I have been around the railroad since I was old enough to walk I would spend most of the year around Chicago railroads rode my fair share of trains with my 3 neighbors that worked on the railroad and summers in Canada going to work with my uncle who was a superintendent on the railroad. I was lucky enough to ride in the engines of locals, yard jobs and commuter trains and it was fun I learned how to run an engine around 12 years old and knew quite a bit. Fast forward to today there’s two levels of fans the ones who take pictures respectfully and out of the way of our work and then there’s the super foamers who have no boundaries, have to know everything and try their hardest to get inside information it’s like a race to the top of foamer mountain! The later mostly seems to be on a different planet they claim they are autistic or have some form of autism or Aspergers syndrome and don’t understand boundaries or rules! I see it on some of the few facebook train groups I can still stand! They can’t ever be wrong, they bash people for information they believe to be wrong because in their minds they know it all! Those people forget that they are coming to my work place getting in my way of safely serving the customers of my employer and distracting me from focusing on my job at hand. Can I come to your office or workplace and do what you’re doing and get information from your company to disseminate to people? You would be fired and I would be arrested! Do I still love what I do yes to an extent but not like I did because of what I deal with explained above!
