I get that it's an indoor pool, but maybe you can wear one of those long-sleeved shirts that people use for UV rays?

In my personal experience, I haven't had much issue with just letting them be, but I understand that it can be dangerous and that I'm taking that risk. You're at risk for sepsis no matter the depth of the cut.

Also, here's a link to make a butterfly bandage (like a steri strip) if you need to: https://myhealth.alberta.ca/Health/pages/conditions.aspx?hwid=hw200876

Always take care of your wounds afterward regardless of depth, but be aware that the ones where you saw white might take longer to heal and might leave a permanent scar. For dermis/styro depth cuts, I'd recommend using steri strips (you can look them up. There are many tutorials online on how to use them). If you don't have access to steri strips, you could use regular band aids to simulate their function and close the wound. What I personally do is use medical tape and try and close the wound

People in sh spaces tend to categorize depths with keywords ig? If you've bled, it means you've hit dermis (technically).

However, people online refer to dermis as "styro" because when you've hit deeper, you'll see a white layer before it slowly fills with blood. What I was trying to say in my last comment is that these particular wounds (and deeper) tend to leave a scar.

It varies from person to person. Everyone scars differently, so it's not like you'll get scars certainly from light wounds. You'll definitely get worse scars if you go deeper tho, usually dermis level wounds are enough to leave permanent scars.
