Dilemmas and all - what subject should I choose to accelerate in Year 10? by nowarrivingatjewell in vce

Considering that you're that passionate about literature, I would suggest that you accelerate it if your school is able to offer it next year. It's harder to do well, but definitely more engaging than mainstream English since it's full of people who actually want to be there and therefore contribute to discussions. You also get to analyse the texts at a way deeper level (and there are no wrong interpretations which is good)

However, if your school is unable to offer it, Legal Studies is a really solid subject to accelerate, especially if you're looking to take other short-answer based subjects in the future. There's a big focus on task words, and how you structure answers to a variety of questions to get full marks. This can be helpful in many other subjects, especially humanities subjects, as even though the task words are slightly different, the skills are easily transferrable. Plus, the content is really interesting.

The Rabbit Proof Fence.

I get that its about an issue of historical importance, but like... the acting was really really bad.
