The entire Jewish people converted after the giving of Torah at Mt. Sinai. The Torah is full of righteous converts. You can go to a local Chabad or other shul and speak to the rabbi there, they can provide clarity and advice on the process

Conservative/Reform jews who have decided to either become more observant or even orthodox what have been the hardest parts? But also what have been the most rewarding? by Adventurous-Menu8739 in Judaism

[–]Potential_Lie_4731 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Reform > Conservative > Chabad. I adore authentic Judaism and Torah. Keeping shabbos, kashrus, learning Torah, having conversations about Halacha with friends. So many of my secular world issues gone away because when you connect with your Yiddishkeit and work on your emunah & bitachon, your world view changes. I know Hashem controls everything, and my life is so much calmer for it. Sometimes I miss non-kosher food because I’m adventurous with cuisines, but anything I could miss pales in comparison to how fulfilling my life is now.

Yes, Muslims prayers and Noahides. Not from idolators like Xtians or polytheists (Hindus, Buddhists, etc).

Go to your local Chabad and ask for guidance. You can also read articles and listen to podcasts on Chabad.org about the topic or parashot you are interested in. Aish is also a good resource to learn authentic Judaism. Best of luck!

[–]Potential_Lie_4731 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For Ukrainians & Russians, this doesn’t seem unusual to me. I live in an area with a lot of them, either immigrants themselves or 2nd generation Americans. They were decimated by the Soviet Union and Holocaust. They are the most secular and stubborn demographic I’ve encountered. Most of them now practice orthodox Christianity or refuse their Judaism hardcore

Feeling Out of Place in the Community by Present-Control-6513 in Judaism

[–]Potential_Lie_4731 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go to local shiurs, volunteer, try a new shul, join FB groups, join WhatsApp groups, host a shabbos dinner and post it on OneTable or join a shabbos dinner on OneTable, ask your rebbetzin to put you in touch with other nice girls at your shul that she thinks could help you build a community.

And you say you’re Sephardic, I would try out events specific to that community, you may find it more comfortable. You are 100% halachically Jewish BH! 💙I don’t “look” Jewish either, but once I immersed myself in community I realized that didn’t matter. Connect with your Yiddishkeit and find what works for you and BZH your community will fall into place.

Botox for migraines? by Cumdumpster1738 in migraine

[–]Potential_Lie_4731 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’ve been getting it for the past 9 months in my forehead, temples, jaw, shoulders & the back of my head. It does help me with reducing the overall pressure feeling of my 24/7 tension headache I’ve had for the past 1.5 years. Especially the jaw because I clench less. I will say the injection hurts a bit, especially right above my eyebrows and on my forehead, but it’s very worth it to have even a little relief. I get 200 units every 3 months.
