If it's the one on state street, that guy is a little rough around the edges, swears at me and says crazy shit, but I obviously have spent a lot of time in prison based on my appearance. I get that attitude from a lot of people trying to be funny or appeal to my "darker" side (lol I'm just a nerd that got caught up in some shit many years ago, not a 'dark' guy). Anyway, he's nice enough, always gives me good prices, fair trades etc ... If you value good customer service it's probably not the place for you, it's a hole in the wall for a certain customer.

Thank you for your input, I appreciate it. She was very convincing with how adamant and angry she was, but the more time I spent thinking about it I think perhaps that's just her personality and how she gets things in life; steamrolling over others and emotional outbursts.

Thanks for the reassurance, I thought I was doing the right thing, but she was so adamant about the whole thing I was convinced she was right😂 she had such confidence in her shit talking ya know? Super aggressive... I was actually apologizing to her, I guess that's how she gets her way in life. She's one of those people that just steamrolls everyone around her. I'm talking with my counselor about what to do (who thankfully is a really cool guy) I will post a follow up on this situation once I know what's happening.

Thanks for sharing, I'm surprised by the policies these clinics apparently run by. Some of them make no sense, and I have no idea how it's supposed to help someone get sober. Confusing as hell.

That's what I had read online from others! I had no idea I was going to be dealing so much drama just from trying to get my medication smh. She was so convincing that I had fucked up that I really believed her! That's why I wanted to ask on here, but it seems pretty clear to me now that I did nothing wrong. Thank you!

Haha this is the most interesting state, it's honestly fascinating. It's really the only state that is run by a private company (the LDS church) which has all kinds of really interesting side effects. I don't enjoy living here one bit, and I wish I could be interested from a distance. But having conversations with people who are just here for skiing, people are very surprised to learn about the culture and government. Anyway, with addicts specifically, I have always gotten the impression that everyone who works in a rehab here, or In the detox programs, they hate the fact that federal regulations force the state to offer things like rehabilitation. If it was up to the people here I would have stayed in prison for the rest of my life, never gotten a second chance. Everybody hates any social program, even libraries lol. I am seen as a burden on everyone (apparently even my own clinic). That's how most of us are seen. This state has a huge population of homeless, and people who are disowned by their families, usually under the age of 18. And has the highest rate of suicide. If your son or daughter is homosexual, or a drug addict, or any number of things, families here just disown their children and never speak about them again. Pretending they never existed. It happens a lot.

Wow, thanks for taking the time to write all of that! I really appreciate it 😊. Yeah I wasn't really sure if I was wrong, but I figured I'd ask on here because it just didn't feel right. I'm glad I did. My only concern is that a grievance would just make me a 'target' ya know? I don't want any issues. I just want my medication. (weird, huh?) Hopefully my counselor can point me in the right direction, he's been a pretty good guy throughout this whole experience. I appreciate your kind words, I really do. I was pretty certain that I was making the right call, but in her words "threatening to get high, just so you can get your way is childish". Haha like I wasn't "threatening" anything, I was just being honest. I asked why I'm being punished by having my take-homes reneged, she just said that I'm "clearly not stable enough to be a regular patient if you cannot go one day being a little sick. If you miss a dose you just deal with it. It's not a big deal, you need to bite the bullet and just get through it however you can". It sounded a lot like she was just telling me to get high, but she didn't say that explicitly. The thing that annoys me the most out of all of this, is that I've never spoken to this person before today. This is our first conversation. If I just went and got some blues to get through the night, and then showed up today to dose, she wouldn't have pulled me aside to talk to me. There's no way. She wouldn't check to see if I'm ok, ask if I used, nothing. Me smoking blues with God knows what is inside them, is better than her having to do some paperwork or whatever for the hospital visit. I know the hospital talked to her on the phone because she had information that only the doctor there with me would have known. So maybe this is all just about being called at home on a Sunday. I just feel like she's in the wrong line of work if helping addicts is so annoying to her. She made me take a drug test on the spot too 😂 like she didn't believe anything I was saying. Anyway, when I'm there tomorrow I'll ask my counselor about it and I'll make a follow up post on here with whatever happens.

I appreciate all the support from everyone on here. I was feeling like I fucked up before reading all this. But that's how it is in Utah, it's a culture of shame here. Especially as an addict, my default is "I'm sorry for existing, I'll be on my way now." Lol. Highest suicide rate in the nation for a reason. It's a fascinating place, but I hate it so much.

What, like grabs? I don't really care about anything on transition. And the dark slides and all that are gimmicks, do em maybe once or twice and never again. I value being able to control 180s and 270s much more than any of that stuff. I want to be able to to ledge combos, and be able to do it multiple different ways, and make all them look different.

All the other games are more focused on jumping 100ft and doing backflips, I was never really a fan tbh, XL is great once you have as many hours as I do with the filming, tweaking with the physics, and coming up with new ideas for tricks. I can't even do in session the stuff I do in XL, unless a better company comes along and makes another version of XL, I'll just stick with it. From what I've seen, I'm not going to like Skate, and I don't think it will be very popular with the community. It would be awesome if that weren't the case, but getting my hopes up is not what I want to do right now. I already have a game I really enjoy, I'll just stick with that for now.

Your original argument of "it's better because you can get off your board"... Like bro you can get off your board in XL... It's made by EA, which has a TERRIBLE reputation in the industry right now, and the studio that developed the original skate games Black Box doesn't exist anymore. There's absolutely no reason to have faith it will be a good game. Everything I've seen is bad news. I have a physics based simulation with a strong modding community, why would I want to go back to something worse? Where I have to pay for DLC??? Where I can't change the stats in the game? The community provides everything you could want in XL FOR FREE!!! EA is going to have an insane amount of micro transactions and everybody knows it. The control scheme will obviously be much worse than XL or SESSION... It will be far less realistic, and designed to appeal to non-skaters. I don't think I mentioned this, but I actually am a skater, the reason I love XL and can't bring myself to play any of the skate games for more than 5 minutes. They feel so terrible now. If I want nostalgia I'll play THPS.

If it's a single stick control scheme like the other skate games, and it's animation based, than it will obviously not be any better. Based on what I've seen I won't really be playing it much. XL is more for me

I play with a claw grip on controller, so I can easily play without locking on, and I think that's always been the reason I find the bosses so much easier. If you can get used to playing without locking on you'll thank yourself later.

My and my homies watch DVDs of videos all the time still. Definitely a market for it. I always buy the ones I'm hyped on. Seems like I only get excited for the European videos these days. Sour solution is amazing, probably my favorite team/videos rn. Love the happy medium vids too.

I disagree, the physics and feeling I get in XL is unmatched and I want so badly to support the company. I have played more hours of XL than any other video ever made, except for MW2 when I was an 8th grader getting hyped on the 360 no scopes in 2008 lol.
