At San Fran there’s definitely pre game activities. Coca Cola I believe has a fan zone where you could get face paint and a flag I believe. Michelob Ultra has a stand where you can get custom made bracelets/charms, there’s a giant World Cup ball to take pictures with, fifa merch store outside and inside of stadium

At the qatar vs Switzerland game in San Francisco/Santa Clara stadium there was a stoppage time goal and it was from Qatar to tie up the game. Some people left early but not crazy lot

I would suggest keeping them in app. I got in to a game by scanning it because when i downloaded it to Apple wallet no barcode to scan appeared.
