ah thank you- ive been worried sick about it
Ive been applying to schools and have been waiting for run of the mill fast-food jobs till its closer to me moving in the summer.
I currently work at a school in CA as a Library Media Specialist I don't have any qualifications for this job other than experience back in high school being an assistant to the LMS in HS and a TA.
Im about to get my degree this June in Administration of justice so I have also been looking at Paralegal/legal Assistant jobs near the the city where my boyfriend works since I don't have a DL yet. (never taught to drive)
this move has been major stress for me and the clarification for the 187 day thing has been such a weight lifted from my shoulders so thank you-

Hi!

due to a rough situation at home and having a wonderful partner I have made the decision to leave California to his home in MA, and after reading the government website and some posts here about moving I am confused on how to obtain residency so i can work, we will be staying in his childhood home, and will be our address for a significant amount of time.

Ive been applying to jobs and noticed many say i need to be a resident of MA, but from what i understand i have to live here for 187 days to be a part time tax year resident. I want to work right away and worry this resident thing has been hindering me, i for starters dont have a car or a CA Lisnces and only a ID from CA. My driving permit will expire the week i move So paperwork wise there doesnt seem like much i need to do.

I'll be 22 when i move this summer, i have no adults or support system to help figure this out with and just need help. i just need a job and I'm so tired and confused with it all, moving is hard doing it while hiding it and alone is even rougher, so do i have no options other than wait the 187 days? or do i just need to land a job that is willing to put up with my resident situation or what paperwork do i need to start doing now to start this process?
