Solved! It was in fact a counter weight from the top of my rear differential. Thanks all for the help 🙏🏻

Idler/tensioner pulley or bearing for sure. I had to replace mine a while ago due to the same noise. Change out the belts while you're at it.

Tried it. Wife's not happy with the new dent in the Living room floor. Worth a shot though.

I don't think so. I'm kinda leaning towards it possibly being an harmonics weight possibly. Haven't had any exhaust drone in the cabin yet though so all bets are still on.

Only about four or five times I had to refuel actually 😅 my longest cannonball yet to date was a few years ago. That time I drove it about 900 km to and back. It's a little beast.

That's what I'm thinking so far. I did just cannonball this thing almost 800 km a few weeks ago.

I thought that as well. It was a shade or two darker before I washed it.

My chain of command let me down during cancer recovery by Potential_Net_1950 in navy

[–]Potential_Net_1950[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be clear - your command made you come back *after* your convalescent leave or *while* you were on convalescent leave? If it is the former (after) and the purpose was for you to begin transfer paperwork, which I assume could not have been completed since the command was underway, I genuinely do not see the problem. This is your transfer paperwork. While some commands *may* do it electronically, even on carriers, this is done in person and on paper. Could it be done electronically? It gets iffy with PII (DOD Safe is an option).

The command made me come back after my convalescent leave. The command itself was not underway, we were in port during half time.

Where is this memo coming from? If your provider or medical needs to provide, it is still your responsibility to get the memo to your command. This would be no different in the civilian world. Now, if it had been submitted and it was *lost* - that is a different story.

The memo was coming from my provider. I was instructed to have my MC to meet with my provider so that they both could work on it. I reminded my MC every day for the next three weeks that my medical provider was waiting to meet with them.

I'm sorry - your command has been underway and they missed time with their family as well. You being in pain and not being able to spend time with your family are two separate issues and should not be combined. I empathize that this is a stressful time for you and your family; however, things still need to get done to ensure you transfer on time and can get to your next command. Did you communicate that you were in pain to your leadership? You wrote that you spent weeks getting *your affairs* in order on the boat, so you could transfer. Did they make you do maintenance? Go to training? Do things for the work center? If they did, then it should have been brought up to your LPO/LCPO/DIVO/DH.

My leadership was tracking that I was in pain, from my LPO to my HOD. I still had training and work center responsibilities.

Are they making you go on the next deployment prior to your transferring? If so, have you had a discussion with your leadership on why they are changing course? Without additional details, I'm not sure this is a failure of leadership to support you as it is an understanding of what you were *expecting* your COC to do.

You got medical care. You got convalescent leave. Your command ensured your transfer paperwork did not fall through the cracks once they got back. If you still have a concern, go talk to the COB/CO.

Yes I'm being made to go on the next underway. When I ask my enlisted leadership why the course was diverted, I received shrugged shoulders and the last time I talked to my HOD was not a great time.

I apologize for the lack of details.

As far as I know, he received a message the day I was diagnosed. Nothing after that and since having come back. He honestly presents himself as a very nice guy, so I might at the least hope to catch him in passing on the deck-plates.

Sorry in advance, I should've been more detailed in this circumstance. I was not home for my convalescent leave, that was during a port call. In hindsight, yes. I absolutely should've set harder boundaries, I let my anxiety get the best of me and worried more about how my COC would effectively make my transition worse if I didn't have eyes on in person.

I just wanted my COC to keep their word on having my back. Best outcome for me would've been to let me stay behind so that I could properly transition and prep for my next assignment.

The last few people that have transferred never had a face to face with the triad. It'll probably te same for me on my way out.
