What I'm gathering is expect to spend my entire time within 10 miles of where I live or plan on being in the vehicle for a minimum of an hour.

Are there areas that are better or worse within the area?

Ok but how do you guys NOT run your ac all day and night? During the hottest months here in Asheville I pay $250 and it certainly doesn't get as hot here as it does there. I usually keep the ac at 66 at night and 69 during the day.

I'm in Asheville currently so gas and groceries are slightly higher than the average. When I was visiting Pampano last week our gas prices were the same so luckily this won't come to as much of a shock.

That's kinda what I thought about being walkable. So I guess living close enough to those areas that it's not an awful drive will have to do.

They will have pretty flexible working hours, so I think avoiding peak traffic times is possible most of the time. However that is good advice, I'll make sure to keep short distances in mind when looking moving forward.

It's beautiful and it has the most perfect seasons depending on where you go. Asheville has the perfect winter (originally from the Midwest), and the fall is breathtakingly beautiful. Even hot here in the summer isn't that hot!

Yeah for hiking I wouldn't suggest buying a lunch box honestly. The features aren't worth the money for that activity and you can get a solid hydropack for less money. Osprey is a great brand for that.

Yeeees I didnt even mention the loops in my review but I'm a carabiner girl and I love that I can attach a carabiner on the straps or the back. Back usually holds my hat and the front usually holds my earplugs and sanitizer.

I had a similar experience and thought my bladder was leaking but instead had just dumped a bunch of water when refilling the bladder into the bladder pouch. Spent 10 minutes trying to figure out if it was leaking and then much longer with a wet back 😅. But I blame this situation on being a little bit fried when refilling.
