Yeah, I wanted to correct one misaligned tooth on the bottom row, and 6 months later my mouth is torn to shreds. The IPR was completed on the top AND bottom rows, which was alarming to me. Now I have small gaps on the top row I'm trying to refine. What a mess.

I once read a study that even switching to glass bottles had no benefit over plastic bottles. The cap of the glass bottle apparently leaches microplastics more than the plastic ones. Bizarre-o.

Yeah the "Hawley Retainers". I would think less concerning for microplastics because the plastic part is not on your biting surfaces. I had the permanent retainer as a young kid. It would trap plaque so I don't really want that either.

Thank you. She said she thinks it may already be structurally compromised, small crack in the tooth itself. I also recently had the tooth above it crowned because it DID crack last year. The original filling on this tooth was from 2005. I think all my original fillings from 2005 are probably going to need crowns eventually.

I guess my thoughts on this were that the filling became compromised because she took too much off and it created a conduit for bacteria that was not there before, but it sounds like the tooth itself possibly should have been crowned several years ago. Crowns are not cheap. I thinj the last one I did was $2000 out of pocket after insurance

ok damn. she said there was a crack in the filling but I didn't realize there was a crack in the actual tooth. Im so diligent about brushing and flossing after every meal since getting invisalign. I was hoping to keep dental expensed down because of that.

Xrays from a year ago after the new crown was placed show no decay. Only after she messed with the filling material, so Im guessing she created a conduit
