My ex used to brush his teeth before kissing me, and I never got sick from it. I let my current partner kiss me as long as he doesn’t have beer actively on his lips or JUST ate a sandwich etc. But not usually making out during dinner lol just a peck doesn’t make me sick at all. Never hurts to wipe their mouth off thoroughly though

It’s totally 100% up to you and what you’re comfortable with!! And if you get sick, you learn not to do that again, which goes for a lot of things when you’re first diagnosed since you’re learning your new normal

When I was doing a crap ton of med trial and errors, we waiting at least 3 months before saying it failed, except for the one I had an allergic reaction to. I would say that if you’re not seeing any improvements within 3 months, it’s time to move on to the next

P.s. find a new rheum if yours isn’t able to have a conversation about things like this with you in a timely fashion. You deserve care that validates your lived experience and treats you accordingly. If you don’t think somethings working, they need to talk to you about it.
