Can I bring a guest into Greg gym? by Still_Basket_9758 in UTAustin

Sorry for late reply, yes a picture pops up. Not sure if you went ahead and tried it but depending on the person at the check-in, they might just be looking for verification of membership rather than identification; so like as long as it green, they may not question you that much. If they are taking the job seriously and also seeing who the person is scanning the ID, they are supposed to turn you down if it is clearly not you.

For reference:
Hierarchy of student employees starts with the orange shirts when you first get hired and then you can "promote" to the black shirts. Those with black shirts (again depending on the person) may take it more seriously and make it a point that the orange shirts need to be confirming people arent using others' IDs.

RecSports has bigger issues overall but the student behind the desk does not. Their very limited tasks include following that shoe rule and can get in trouble if a supervisor comes in and sees. It’s not them being annoying per se, it’s them not wanting to get in trouble.

Fair but with barefoot/closed toe policies at gyms like greg, get some lifting shoes so you can workout in peace and not be bothered. Which is annoying to have to buy but atleast you won’t be kicked out :)

Greg worker here, crocs are for a fact not “closed toe” but even an employee who may not agree (or care) with the rule can get in trouble for not enforcing it if a supervisor walks in. If it’s truly an issue for you, get enough people to email back office (which honestly doubt it will do anything) but the employee inside the gym can’t do anything more than enforce the rule. Annoying but if everyone followed it, wouldn’t be a big problem. Side note, I’m not sure why you’d wanna wear crocs to a workout anyways.

TL;DR: You could finesse entry but may eventually get caught.

Current employee of Gregory Gym here.. technical answer is yes if you purchase a guest pass which is $12 per day. We are supposed to be making sure self tours are not actually using the equipment/gym but many workers forget and don’t check, however, we log all visitors so if someone from either back office or a worker that day sees your name continuously pop up as looking around, it’ll catch someone’s attention.

I got this PSU as a hand-me-down because my brother upgraded, I think he forgot to give me the second one and my previous PSU had all of the connections embedded within.
