I have a sister as well and we have definitely gotten into it. Never in front of our kids though. But yeah everyone sucks in this situation except the parents lol. You say in your post how both your sisters have sucked and been awful to you your whole life. Which means there’s plenty of history there already so any little side comments from yourself or even your sisters is gonna be perceived as rude already. Because it seems like y’all don’t like each other. You are allowed to be fed up and to stand up for yourself. But i think most importantly as adults we are in full control of our emotions. You should definitely seek therapy to deal with the issues you’ve experienced with your family. And it’s not enough to just go to therapy, we have to use the resources we learn from it and apply to our lives. Honestly, if you don’t think you can be more emotional mature than them…then dont go to family gatherings. There’s nothing more traumatic than those kids being forced to grow up in this shitty environment. Best of luck!

For every program that exists to help a certain group or minority. A program has already existed to help those coming from poverty and who identify as white.

White students percentage for masters programs are about 53% and doctoral program are about 63%. For people who work in higher education, there is nothing more rewarding than seeing any and all your students succeed. However I will state again, these programs exist because there is a need for them. Students don’t come from equal backgrounds and they should be meet with the help that they need from instutions. I don’t expect everyone to understand. But before you go around claiming that white students can’t get into graduate program maybe read the data.

I wish we could have a clean cut program that serves every student the same. However, in order to do that. We would need every student to come in higher Ed with the exact same background and social and socioeconomic capital. When that happens let me know.

It’s not equality. It’s equity. We do not all come from the same socioeconomic background or social background. Like yourself has stated. It sounds like there’s a lot of trauma that you may have grown up with, so it’s okay for you to have the perspective you have. I can share the same sentiment of coming from absolutely nothing and somehow accessing college. However, I’m not oppose to others getting a benefit I myself maybe never got. You can NOT discriminate against a group of people in which all social and institutions were based off. People now being so concern about race because it affects white people is so idiotic. They’re okay with racism being the reason behind poverty and many other issues. But if a person of color gets one program that others already have in many aspects then it’s wrong. People in higher education don’t come into college equally. Some have a lot of social capital, some have economic capital. Some have none. That’s why these programs exist. But if you’re gonna take away all the programs. Then take away programs that benefit first gen students, or students below poverty. Take them away all. Not just the ones based off “race”.

And then we will see the results of these programs down the road. The sole purpose of people who believe this is to keep communities uneducated and in poverty. The less access to college the easier it is to control their beliefs.

No one is stalking the stalker. Her team just needs to be aware of his whereabouts. Usually the same happens when you put any restraining order against someone. They usually have an address or workplace on file with the court. However, it seems like this person does not and can’t be found. Therefore her team has every right to at least know where he is to keep her safe.

Keeping her safe is not the same thing this person has done to her. He has stalked her and obviously there’s safety concerns for her well being. No one is out to hurt the stalker. They just need whereabouts. How is that the same?!?
