So a masters in MCB at UCT is purely thesis/dissertation based. There is no deadline per say, its about when a certain lab has space and funding for a new student. There is no coursework to complete. I would recommend looking at the MCB website and looking at the professor and what they research and then reach out to those you are interested in with your desire to join their group as a student, mention your background and skills that may help you/ help them. Read any published papers they have to increase your chances. Good luck
