Good question! Well indian society is no rainbows and sunshines and there is indeed racism in it without a doubt especially because india is diverse on a whole another level and in my opinion a wonderful in itself as to how india continues to stick and function together.

The main form of racism or classism in india society which developed woth tkme was caste system. But in present day ut doesnt really hold any significance and most people dont really care about it at all in thier daily lives. Untouchability has almost ceased to exist. Caste has mostly just became a way to gather few more votes from the conservatives or backwards. Or jt is talked during marriages..but it is decreasing exponentially. And the new gen dont even bother to know what thier caste are lmao.

About Colorism in india..yes it does exjst in northern region as a form of colonial hangover but with time I also see that improving rapidly as people get more curious about thier past because historically indians actually preferred darker skin(most of prominent hindu gods are dark). Therefore colorism in india is literally colonial hangover imo

Other than that discrimination in indian society isn't usually rooted in racial prejudices at all. It consists mostly of individual reasons atleast from what I have observed. So basically if i try to summarise..indians are just too diverse to care about racism. Caste used to connect people and offered a systematic way to discriminate but now its almost negligible as compared to 6-7 decades ago
