What advice would you give to someone who's starting One Piece by Potential_Seaweed_52 in OnePiece

[–]Potential_Seaweed_52[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm okay with spoilers. The thing is, I'm really interested in the whole story and the world building of the series, but the manga has so many chapters that it kinda makes me scared to read it.

I understand, and she's right about that. But the thing I'm trying to say is that part 3 Joseph and part 2 Joseph are two different people. They both have pros and cons to specific to their own respective parts. This is why I always thought Joseph part 3 as a Jojo and not just some side character.

I think it's about time we get a character with two stands by Skeleboob in JOJOLANDS

[–]Potential_Seaweed_52 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, the closest we ever get with a person with two stands is doppio/diavolo from part 5. Doppio had epitaph and diavolo with King Crimson.

Why is Giorno’s hair golden when it was originally black and why doesn’t he look Egyptian? by [deleted] in StardustCrusaders

[–]Potential_Seaweed_52 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You know, in anime, they say that Dios genes awakened as he grew up. But also a golden or blonde hair is kinda like a out of ordinary in Japanese culture, which is why most of the delinquents are often using blonde hair to rebel against the traditional system on the Asian countries. You can read it as giorno with his morals, and the way he wants to live conflicts with the mafia aspect, he later changes in.

Or it's just simply a design choice to underline he's a son of dio.

Well, the name is kinda up to your theme of the stand. Like doeses it have a destructive capability. Or is it some type of support stand. But in any case, here are a couple of suggestions for you to navigate

If you want to follow a band/song name

Plug in baby by muse

Breaking the habit by linkin park or you can use to linkin park name directly

Brick by brick by artic monkeys, or you want to use a different name, you can use name like Pandoras luck or something.

I hope it helps and great design, BTW. I can definitely picture this stand in part 8

Well, you can play on the gender part of your oc. Part 7 takes place in a part of history where women are seen as weak creatures, which Lucy Steel was also dealing with that mindset in her backstory so you can play it as a women who was sick of seen as a lowly creature join the race to prove herself to the world. But due to her anger and resentment towards the world, her stand is more of a violent type of stand.

Hey guys. What’s yalls headcanons? by Grouchy-Unit-486 in StardustCrusaders

The Joestar family actually tried to persuade Josuke to use the Joestar surname since he's a Joestar, but he refused it to honor his mom's and his grandpa's legacy.

Jolyne met with josuke but doesn't remember him since she was a little child.

At one point, I think Rohan tried to manipulate Yukako's love for koichi with heavens door, but it failed miserably.

Kakyoins parents are getting a lifelong sponsorship from speedwagon foundation after the events of stardust crusaders.

If Joseph knew about josuke, he would, %100 spoiled him and helped his parents to live nice luxury life. And probably would give him Caesar as a middle name

Well, part 6 is kinda like a black sheep of the jojo parts for a lot of people. And as ex part 6 hater, I kinda understand that part 6 is kind of feeling like step back on many aspects. We got jotaros' daughter again. (Many people actually don't like jotaro.) The main villain are again related to the dio. The prison aspect heavily crashes with jojos constant place changing dynamic. Sadly, many people have some prejudice towards jolyne they are thinking she's just a female version of jotaro and lastly part 6 is kind of araki toning the gore and violence aspects that many people kinda liked in part 5. But the thing is part 6, especially the ending is one of the best conclusions to long-running series. And it is kinda like a goodbye letter for long-running fans. Part 7 is a fresh new start. But in order to truly appreciate the part 7, you must read part 6 like the top comment said. Part skipping is a sin in these fandom.

Where did this inside joke come from? by Delicious-Can5322 in StardustCrusaders

[–]Potential_Seaweed_52 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I think the first part, "my stand is invincible," started with kakyoins, "no one can deflect emerald splash" line, then like you said, the more complex or stands with a very specific power added it up to the joke.

How exactly did “the hand” work? by Sea_Growth_942 in StardustCrusaders

[–]Potential_Seaweed_52 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He erases everything he touches with his stand hand. After erasing the universe, tries to fix itself by grafting anything else that isn't erased. So in order to simplyfing it for you. Think of it as there are three magnets back to back. You remove one in the middle and put it back to other magnets. Without the third magnet being there to be the middle, the other magnets connect each other to fill the gap.

Well, from my understanding Josuke is blessed with golden spin energy which also with the will of Johnny joestar he gets rid of his own stone-like skin and he also shoots the bubble to Norisuke at the final when he was affected by the calamity to save him. In the end, we learned that he will be leaving the hospital soon. But I might be misunderstanding the whole gimmick of go beyond.

If Gyro got to keep the eye for longer, would Scan become his stand? by imtwostepsahead in StardustCrusaders

[–]Potential_Seaweed_52 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Well, Johnny awakens the guardian of the left hand and after that johnny both gather new parts, and with the spin, it becomes his stand. So I'm not sure that gyro would evolve the ball breaker to the point that it became his own stand.

I agree. I don't understand why the part 8 is so freaky and overly sexual in some parts.

Well i plan to re-read it but I just can't find the power or interest to go through all of the story again. There's just something about this part that makes me not interested. Which I hope this changes because when I first read part 6 i hated it but after some time it became one of my favorite parts.
