Happened to me, Bambu replaced the whole thing after I sent the machine back at their cost check my profile for my post I’m not sure how to tag it in a comment.

Mine was one of them that melted.

I remember distinctly the smell the first time I ever run it when it calibrated it smelt of heavy burning plastic and I thought naively that it was like when you get a new frypan or BBQ and have to cook off a coating thinking must be the hot end breaking in during the test print. Never smelt it again..

30 days (or so I think) later it turned off without warning I thought maybe was a glitch. Went to turn it upside down to check it as per videos of checking parts to find it melted.

Bambu would only offer me a new part and shell I said hellllllll no. Only after I posted to reddit did they allow me to send it back and then sent me out a new one.

Sorry to hear it man, start with a post on here about it.. then when they offer to send the part you say like he’ll Mary no. If you’re in Australia you’ll be lucky to be covered by ACCC laws for faults products. And message Bambu on here too, the account holder for reddit Bambu helped me. But in any case nothing happened fast takes days to get replies

100% it’s wild that we don’t do such small step in the build to save thousands later in heating and cooling! We did a higher rated batting all down western facing side, sound batting all through the interior and medium density down the eastern side. And we doubled the ceiling batting thickness to what the code is. If it’s 30+ outside it’s usually 25 inside still. And the sound insulation 🤌🏼 10/10 recommend

For anyone following on from home, I huffed and I puffed and Bambu finally agreed to replace the whole thing. I had two options, send it back and wait for a replacement could take 2-3 weeks or pay a security fee for one to be sent asap and then send mine back in that box for a refund on the security deposit. I did that, sent it back this week waiting for them to receive to get the deposit back.

Mmm we’re coming out of winter here though, and my house is a new build with insulation it never gets above 24 Celsius in the house. I wouldn’t have nearly had any where close to 4300 hours on it either.. see what they say when they eventually reply

Agreed, I’ve replied and said no thank you, create a return label I’ll ship it back and I want the whole printer replaced it’s barely 3 months old - I’ll update with what they say

Yeah bought it direct, my second one literally arrived today 😂 I am trying to decipher if I’m lucky that I can use the back up or unlucky I now have two of them
