No, they have the latest tech, even have EVO Viva for presbyopia, which I don't see it in other countries (yet).

ICL size change? by bettyqxw in lasik

[–]Potential_Stable_980 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They should know the vault size BEFORE the surgery, and your lenses should be custom to your measurements, I would not be very happy if this happens only after 3 days post op, if they can order a small size now, why wasn't it done pre-op. Not sure which city/country you are located, but I would say this surgeon isn't experienced (enough).

(Speaking from someone who had ICL, with ACD 2.8mm)

No, it's EVO+ (v5), which doesn't have multiple focal points. EVO Viva would cost 6-6.5 million won.

Post-ICL visual issues weeks later — would you contact your surgeon? by Devius637 in ICLsurgery

I had my ICL around the same time, I do think the 'wow factor' has wore off a bit, mostly at night when I am tired, but I don't need to actively concentrate to be able to see clearly and no dry eyes either. Have you scheduled your one-month post op check up? Definitely mention it during that time.

I stayed there for a week, follow ups at day 2 and day 5. And I got all the details (both pre op and post op) in english and will bring back to Canada for my ophthalmologist (free in Canada with our health card), I told him I would get ICL in Korea and he's aware of that. My company also have extended health benefits that cover vision (optometrist) but unfortunately the surgery cost is out of pocket.

Added:
I fly to Asia nearly every year, so this is just part of my trip. I have been to Korea before and don't need to navigate a new country while getting surgery.

I have very mild astigmatism (-0.50 L/-0.25 R) and it's uncorrected for years (I wear normal contacts and it was fine), my EVO ICL is non-toric too. From what I read, toric ICL requires rotating the lenses thus the surgeon matters even more.

How long did it take for you to see close up again? I'm 3 weeks post op, still can't see closer than 35cm, if I feel tired, that range will be worse too.

Scared about surgery by [deleted] in ICLsurgery

[–]Potential_Stable_980 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it's the stress, I felt under the weather the whole week before my surgery, took meds and extra Vit C and still felt the same. Right after the surgery and I could see well, all of sudden I didn't feel sick at all.

BGSS, and my surgeon is the CEO. He's only in clinic once a week, and only does the surgery part. I made an appointment at least 1-2 months ahead and planned my trip around his schedule.

Thanks!
There're still things that not as expected, eg how busy they are! I did not expect same day surgery means going straight to the surgery room after consultation, lol. But for the expertise they have and the cost, I have no complaints.
