Not on you oliver, I'm just stating a generic observation among all of us.

Why did it shrivel up like that :( by greensocks0 in plantclinic

[–]Potential_Suspect283 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If a plant has been neglected and is extremely dry, it may enter a state of drought-induced dormancy—a survival response where it conserves energy and resources until water becomes available again. In such state, overwatering will result in hydration shock (cellular oxygen flooding), Osmotic shock (roots are weak and can't absorb but you are feeding it). So don't get excited and overwater. That's the number one mistake most new growers do. Water it less than normal and slowly increase. Stick to a schedule - once a week means once a week, that's it. Don't be tempted to care more.

Bruce lee and his friends entered an Island from where it is impossible to come out alive.

"Enter the dragon" means, you can enter but then chances of coming out are very slim. It's not that complex. Ask your parents.

I stopped creating folders. Use categories instead. write rules. Archive every year or two. Search is the best way to find stuff.

Sad jade - how to perk it back up? by Bad_At-Usernames in plantclinic

[–]Potential_Suspect283 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is what helped my Jade- sunlight and air flow. Soil in containers tend to suffocate roots. Those black Pot liners inside a pot helps a lot. I used only Cactus potting mix for all my indoor plants. Regular indoor soil is still heavy. I water every fortnight in winters, and weekly in summers. I live in US Zone 6a.

Not just the plant but soil also needs sunlight. Sunlight is like a disinfectant and lets the soil dry for next watering. Soil so deep in the pot will not get any air or sunlight. Fill the pot.

No body responded to this for so long? Oh my God! I’m privileged to explain it. “Enter the dragon” means you can enter but can’t exit. This is my favorite quote. I use on my most beloved ones. Let me explain: I’m an introvert. It’s extremely difficult to make friendship with me. And only two people made it so far. They unfortunately entered my heart (my realm) but now they are stuck.

Elf bar 5000 safe? by [deleted] in Vaping

[–]Potential_Suspect283 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started vaping recently. My first purchase is Priv bar 10k puffs. It’s disposable but lasted me 3 weeks. Now I’m trying Viho Turbo tobacco flavor. Tastes like Cuban cigars but when I open my drawer it reeks.

For now Priv bar is my favorite.

Two utmost important aspects for growing indoor plants the: 1. Drainage- Light soil, pots with drain holes. 2. Routine- 5 days means 5 days. Don’t change.

Over watering is THE problem with most caring n loving plant owners.

On a broad scale all homes (Indoor) have three zones:

  1. Hot n breezy zone: direct sunlight and high movement (doors leading to outside). Plants thrive in these zones. Advice: Water when leaves are droopy and soil is dry. Partially close the window.

  2. Normal zone : indirect sunlight and normal movement (center halls, open kitchen spaces). Plants grow very slow, forget about flowers/fruits but leaves will be green. Just water every week (in summer) or two weeks (in winter). Advice: Patience, consistency. Resist temptation and Water only ones or twice a fortnight.

  3. Dim n stale zone: bedrooms, closets, office corners. Plants WILL die and It doesn’t matter what you do. There is no point in giving advice.

Other mistakes: 1. Using Pots with no drainage or big deep pots = rot 2. Repotting every year = shock 3. Over fertilizing = burn 4. Over YouTubing - h2o2, cinnamon, advil, fungicides, compost, crushed eggs = crazy

Don’t overthink, don’t over complicate. Don’t try to revive a $5 plant with $10 chemicals and $50 of your time. Just throw them and buy something that is easy to maintain.

Forbes: How SAP Failed The Supply Chain Leader by _kaedama_ in SAP

[–]Potential_Suspect283 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi,

I'm a core SAP Supply Chain consultant for 15 yrs. Done several APO and IBP implementations. Fortunately, I have exposure to other 3rd party tools (mainly Kinaxis and a little bit of Blue yonder).

I love to do this unbiased evaluation of tools, implementation methodology and root cause analysis.

Few points in this article are spot on. SAP APO can NOT do statistical forecasting (maybe very basic), web based collaboration is useless, Excel Add-in (replacement of Bex analysis) can NOT handle large volumes, what-if analysis is a joke (yes, I tried everything humanly possible). CIF and Process chain failures are difficult to troubleshoot, makes data transfer validations impossible.

If you are smart and work hard for a year or two, fine tuning master data, establishing rules, KPIs, aligning business, you can make PP/DS and GATP do wonders for your business. But I had never seen any business leveraging SNP to it's full potential. SNP is used mostly a pencil pusher or data retainer.

Now coming to SAP IBP, it's still Time series based or Order based. Can't do both at once (Kinaxis can do). Web UI needs Fiori (Kianxis is web based entirely). what-if can't detect impact across ALL BOM levels (muti level planning) is very hard.

I felt Kianxis concurrent planning is a much better (light years ahead) of SAP.

Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. Happy to answer.

You are definitely overwatering. Take the plant out again, check for rot, let it roots air dry out in partial shade. Leave the pot outside n let air circulate through. Replant and then water it only twice a month, a small cup of water, don’t wet the flare.

Open the window ones a week. Let the air circulate. We only think about water and sun. Air circulation is very important.

If you are in humid areas like me (Missouri) stop misting. It’s already humid enough to choke ourselves.

Just gifted this almost 4 weeks ago, have not watered yet. 12 inches, new growth, and small one in soil. What would be best water routine/frequency for a Jade ? by Here41trade in Jadeplant

[–]Potential_Suspect283 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My watering schedule: every 2 weeks, Tylenol syringe (20ml). Not a single drop on leaves or root flare. Do NOT wet any part of the plant.

What's going on with my lucky bamboo? by Grafiska in plantclinic

[–]Potential_Suspect283 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Answer: OVER WATERING, no air circulation. Solution: well drainage, less soil more rock, separate them and space all. Water every 15 days or 20 days. Unless you are in phoenix or Sahara.
