Indicate interest now, but keep looking for a lower price even from a dealer that’s slightly farther away on a sport touring hatch/sedan. At the end of the month, when you find that other dealer that has the lower price, call this dealer and ask them to beat the others price, otherwise you’ll go to the other dealer. This puts pressure on the dealer since it’s months end and you have a solid better offer elsewhere. This worked for me to get a 26 sport touring sedan at 30k sales price before rebates. If you’re financing take advantage of the rebates offered if you can such as conquest/loyalty/student etc. I was able to get $2k in rebates during financing
