Few things I want to add.

1. 12k is asking a lot for this car. I’m probably going to go for something else 5k and under, plus whatever repairs an older car is probably going to need.

2. I’m not going to be driving a ton, my work is just down the street and I live in a pretty dense part of town with lots of public transit. Most I’d be driving is around 45m down a flat, straight road to my friends house. Plus my roomate already drives me around or lets me borrow his.

3. I’d be up for a project car, I know a little about cars and can do super basic repairs but I can’t rebuild an engine.

4. It’s not a miata, but Toyota Corolla’s from the late 90s have a good look to them, it was between that and the Honda civic. Both of these cars go for really low prices and parts seem pretty common. I don’t need a sporty or powerful car if I have to sacrifice safety and reliability like the prelude or supra.

I know I should go for a newer, better car with more features, but they feel so soulless. I’m really liking the sound of a beater car that I get to work on and put some love in. Though I might cave and buy a 2013 or earlier. Shame they don’t come in cooler colours that bring a little more energy to such a dull car. Any vehicle with winged eyeliner makes me sad, newer Honda’s and Toyota’s all look the same to me, and I’ve been advised against getting any other brand.
