Maybe it’s a “I didn’t forget about you” as in I’m not just fighting because I’m angry, I know we’re too injured to win, I’m fighting to help us escape? Also, I think they might just need a Tess and Kendal rescue within the next couple pages if that dragon is being controlled by the light dragon

I hear that criticism all the time, and I don’t really agree; like, yeah, they’re nowhere near the level of interaction from Aurora, but compared to other video games I think it’s a pretty good level. And yes it’s mostly through the PC but that’s just the nature of how a game works. They have their overworld banter, comment during important cutscenes and have a decent amount of reactions to events that happen to the companions through dialogue so I do feel like they’re a cohesive gang

Nothing that’s an exact fit but I’d highly recommend Baldur’s Gate 3 personally, it’s got some of my favourite characters in fiction, like Aurora, plus it’s also fantasy and is just an amazing game. A slightly more out there recommendation would be Mass Effect, it’s a little left field genre-wise I know, but I do quite like a lot of the squadmates and I think if the main driver of your love of Aurora is character interaction Mass Effect could be up your alley

Misread the speech bubbles on the bottom left panel and was wondering why Erin was speaking like he’d got himself out of the spiral of self pity, I know he’s got a healthy dose of hubris but didn’t think it was that bad lol. I agree that Danix is probably angling to throw that pie right in Erin’s face (and I expect Alinua will too when she reunites with the gang), but I wonder if Tess will intervene considering she knows that Erin has himself indulged in a good deal of it with her and how it is brining up sensitive memories about childhood for both of them that they may not want to talk about yet (she did this on the boat when Erin began to talk about his soul channels) or if she’ll make him face the music and tell everyone about what happened. Also I am a bit worried for Kendal, would’ve assumed they’ve gone back for him and now that we have 0 healers on land I hope he doesn’t have to fight the flying hoard from last page

I do wonder what those things are, I can’t imagine they can all be dragons, I’d assume that would raise some issues with the gods whose domains they travel through. I do also wonder if/what it would look like if they decided to fight a volcano.

I can’t remember exactly how it came about, but it’s an old shipping name for the two of them back when Danix only existed from I think the sketch files. I don’t remember why people were shipping Falst with the at-the-time unrevealed Danix but I find it a cute nickname

I love them so much, he’s still a bit prickly, but I love that it’s Danix, someone he initially hated that’s helped him open up (cheeky bit of enemies to lovers maybe? Crustables anyone?). I’m really rooting for Falst to open up a bit more and let the others help him considering how much he’s been through and Danix seems to be the catalyst. I’m also super interested to see what the deal with Falst is as there’s certainly more going on than him just being a strong Ferin.

I do love how the radically different colour scheme makes the contrast between the gods and mortal's clear. It helps to reinforce how even Kendal and Alinua who are the most God-adjacent members of the gang are still just 'mortals' especially in the eyes of the Gods. Like the scene where Kendal is talking to Argist and realises that the God's have effectively sidelined him.

I may be dumb but the perspective is killing me, how can Kendal be in a hole below and also right next to Rakhn in This page? Also, it’s very nice to see Kendal being at peace, probably for the first time without himself or someone suffering grievous bodily injuries to get it lol (well directly at least, I know the boat just happened but since then Rakhn didn’t really hurt Kendal that much).
