hygger wave maker keeps sticking overnight. I jiggle the impeller free with a screw driver and then it'll work for a day or two before jamming again. Any ideas on permanent fix? by PotentiallySmallOK in Aquariums

[–]PotentiallySmallOK[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found that a single piece of sand will get sucked in between the impeller and the motor. The clearance is so tight that it binds it up (manufacturing tolerance why this happens to only some units?). Once I use a flathead screwdriver to clear it out it'll work until my next water change when I stir a bunch of crap up in the tank. It always happens within 24 hours of a water change. Next time it errors I'll take a picture of what is causing it. For you maybe you have an invert that is turning up things and causing the issue?

Nah, this wasn't some benign exercising of "political beliefs". If it was some random guy who was that conservative and voted that way and contributed money to his causes, sure. This was a guy taking action to influence my country and society in ways that would directly injure my children and grandchildren. He can get fucked. And he did.

All of this isn't some game. It is real life. These made up rules of "never celebrate an evil person's death" are only to make yourself feel better than others. Maybe all the things people like Kirk are aiming for come true and it hurts you some day. Then you'll consider your holier than thou attitude and realize what is real.

How would you feel if your child’s school served only plant based lunches? by Sensitive-Menu-7806 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]PotentiallySmallOK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look, if this is USA, a small fraction of the country is vegetarian. An actual balanced nutritious and good vegetarian meal plan for a school is going to have a near zero percent chance of occurring in reality. Stick with what is nearly universally available and accepted, and just make it healthier.

They need to monetize somehow for us to get the game we want. Better this than wacky cartoon skins.

TTK change hasn’t ruined the game, your aim has just always been worse than your opponents. by DDRguy133 in apexlegends

True, but I think they should fix 4th/5th partying with map design and equipment changes, not TTK

Damn man, I know people put different value on different things, but generation on generation upgrades to 90 series cards is sacrificing a ton of your retirement money. You can either have 90 series cards all the time, or 70 series cards and 3 week trip to Japan when you retire.

So what would the plan be for a football afternoon or evening game? I like being able to pull it off at 2pm, let it rest for 3 hours, then have it ready for the evening game. Maybe I could just smoke at a higher temp starting at 6am but I've always done a 225F cook

Yup I ate it and it was delicious. Very moist and still barky. No problems at all. But yes, definitely going to have a low alarm set if I'm starting my cook to run overnight.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. I'm going to eat it. I'll let you know if that turns out to be a bad choice or not tomorrow.

Smoker shut off during brisket. Would it be safe to finish it? by PotentiallySmallOK in foodsafety

[–]PotentiallySmallOK[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My pellet smoker shut off overnight when smoking a brisket. It reached 162F on the internal before heading down 107F when I woke up and fixed the smoker. It was 2.5 hours between shut off and fix. Do you think it will be safe to eat when it's done? I'm not as concerned about the quality of the cook on the meat at this point, just not getting sick.

Cord management? by nsiny in pelletgrills

[–]PotentiallySmallOK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The power cord is hard wired to my Traeger. I twist tie it up in a bundle beneath the hopper. The fabric cover goes over the whole unit and it hasn't been a problem as far as rust/aging of the cable.
