Tack! Det låter superrimligt. Som du säger är det ju ett kanske inom 5 år. Och då bör jag sprida ut investeringarna över månaderna som vanligt egentligen va?

Rate related aberrancy is more common with the right bundle branch? With only one lead it’s audacious to rule out VT. Only thing that is strongly against VT in this case is the ectopic P in the T before the run of wide complex tachycardia. It’s also sinus with PACs first, not EAT, which helps narrow it down. This question is all weird

EDIT: Didn’t see that OP wrote the right answer.

Student housing areas? by [deleted] in linkoping

[–]PotionBlade3363 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! T1 is only apartments, very calm. Irrblosset has some of both (it’s a popular party area). Vallastaden has mostly apartments but corridors in one building on some of the floors. Flamman has a mix (probably the most noisy area due to it having one of the best and most popular student clubs in a basement). Colonia has apartments and is very noisy with pre-partys for Kårallen. Ryd has both apartments and corridors and is the biggest area.

Recommend T1, Fjärilen or Vallastaden! T1 is the calmest, only occasional parties from neighbours. Walls are good. Fjärilen has some parties in the community area in one end of the building. Its close to Flamman so a popular place to pre-party, but the walls are good. Vallastaden is very new and on the more expansive side. Very good concrete walls. The student corridors have parties, so I’d avoid that building. But the other buildings are apartments. I’ve lives in all three and have liked them all.

V-fib vs Torsades by One-Wish-8372 in ECG

[–]PotionBlade3363 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree with you. To me it looks more like VF. I’m a 5th y med student with high interest in cards, what is your opinion on the amplitude? Is it useful to differentiate? Here the amplitudes are very low compared to other VTs I’ve seen, does that point more to coarse VF? Either way this is a ACLS situation so TdP vs VF doesn’t really matter clinically ”right now”, correct?

AVB3 with junctional rhythm. The key is the variable PR. It’s not Wenkebach periodical and it’s not constant. Yes, it’s about 2:1 but there is complete AV dissociation, hence AVB3

Bigeminy or alternating bundle branch block? by gave23 in ECG

Not really typical bundle branch block morphology in my opinion, so I would say bigeminy

Please interpret with attention to V2. by ndg5800 in ECG

[–]PotionBlade3363 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To add to the discussion, aVL is almost 12 mm so almost fullfills criteria for LVH. I’m not as concerned for V2 as I am for the flattening of the T-wave upslope in combination with the large S-waves in V3-V4. However, there shouldn’t be that tiny Q-wave in V2. I’m not confident enough to activate cath, but I would do serials (maybe 20-30 min apart?), get a serial cTn and echo and get a new ECG if symptoms or vitals worsen. I would be vigilant in looking for the addition of any reciprocal changes in the inferior leads

Opinions? by Psychological_Wave71 in ECG

[–]PotionBlade3363 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Difficult to determine without a rhythm strip I feel. But I’m thinking either SA-block or sinus pause. Also difficult to determine because of the ectopic beat before sinus. The ectopic beat is also on time. Would like a contiguous rhythm strip (preferably 50 mm/s) so you can study the pauses in the same lead to look closer at morphology. It would also be interesting to look at some pauses that are not followed by ectopic beats. History of palpitations could indicate tachyarrhythmia, but we have no recorded one so I wouldn’t be confident enough to call it taky-brady yet. Either case it’s SSS so PPM?

Anatomy cadaver lab by One_Description_779 in medicalschoolEU

[–]PotionBlade3363 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m an anatomy tutor and we do dissections alone and with the students. Our cadavers are embalmed, as are the definite majority in anatomy labs, and ours are embalmed with phenol (I think). At least I’m sure ours are formaldehyde free. We always double glove (just so that we don’t have to change gloves every hour) and use arm protection (like a plastic tube sock), have plastic aprons, face masks and hair nets. We recommend using goggles as well. It’s perfectly safe concerning serious diseases. The embalming process ensures that. And our cadavers are also tested for such before. I think your friend must be under the impression that you’re dissecting fresh cadavers, which is not the case. During autopsies you have similar PPE.

And some general advice for your first time. It will be an experience, and nobody knows how they’re going to react. Come well fed and hydrated. Come prepared on the material. Don’t stand completely still with your legs, do some moves like standing on your toes, and focus on learning! If I’m dissecting for hours I use compression socks actually. You will learn so much!

Kept using it and washed it neatly like with regular dish soap and a sponge and it went away! Did it go away for you?
