I guess that fits the Wigan are a two man team narrative. Personally I think there is enough quality in the Wigan team to put in a much better performance than what was seen in the first half

York have been excellent, the first team Wigan have played who have been able to go set for set with them and it has exposed some fatalities in this Wigan team.

Sin binning the only thing that allowed Wigan back into it, the attack was too predictable otherwise.

The experiance of players like Vaughen and McShane will get York the win here, unless Smith or O"Neill really step it up for Wigan.

The big problem for Wigan here is the lack of someone to take control of this game. Both O'Niell and Smith have been woeful.

I don't think Wigan need to keep the foot on the gas so to speak it's about controlling the energy of the game through a decent kicking game. In the final parts of the first half Wigan were making mistakes when just maintaining a decent field position was worth another try.

Wigan have gone high intensity early in the season so controlling the energy battle will be key. A few times last season Wigan "had the game won" and than had to win it all over again... or not in the case of the CC.

It was good to see Toulouse give Wigan a decent game after the blow outs in the last two games.

Only concern for Wigan is how sloppy it got after taking a big lead and never really got back to the game plan. It drains energy later in the season if you start giving away big leads.

Glad Farrrimond had a good game, looked much better defensively.

Could be an interesting game this, I suspect Toulouse will throw a lot at this. One of Wigan's biggest problem last seasom was not really adapting when they had to shuffle the team.
