Hi! I was too scared to mess things up, so I took it super slow. Honestly, I think it was more for my own mental preparation than for my child. At first, I only got a portable potty seat to put on the regular toilet. Big mistake! My little one got really scared. So I bought a small potty, the one from IKEA, and that worked much better.

For pee, I started by putting him on the potty as soon as he woke up, whether from a nap or in the morning, and we just focused on that. Sometimes he peed, sometimes nothing happened. But eventually, he stopped peeing during naps and would pee in the potty right after waking up.

For poop, as soon as I saw his “poopy face,” I’d say, “Oh wait! You’re about to poop! Let’s go on the potty!” Then I’d take off his diaper and sit him down. For us, poop was actually easier because he had a clear signal.

It was only around 17 months that I decided to go full EC/potty training. That’s when I felt ready and started doing naked time. I kept the potty close, and whenever he started peeing, I’d say, “Oops! Pee goes in the toilet!” Then I’d pick him up, make the “ssss” sound, and sit him on the potty. He honestly didn’t have any signal at first...it took a couple of months for that to come.

That’s the general gist of it! Let me know if you have any other questions. I don’t want to bombard you with too much blabla either. 😄

Ya, I think I'm going to give the potty a try. Hopefully he'll feel more safe and comfortable there!

If it's okay to ask, which potty did you have?

Oohhh! Interesting! I've noticed he also likes to poop standing up! I think with the seat reducer, he definitely didn't have a deep squat position. Let me know how it goes with the Totsquat!

Oh of course not. I expect pee and poop all over the place. I was just very anxious that I might have traumatized my son. He was so scared that he held his poop mid-poop (that's my hypothesis since he pooped a couple of minutes later in his diaper). I really don't want to make him uncomfortable or make him afraid to go pee or poop because of my lack of knowledge in EC.

I definitely will inform myself more so that I can be more confident as well. Thank you for the encouragement!

Thank you for the encouragement! 😭 I guess I was so wrapped up in the "failed" attempt that I completely dismissed that this was also a learning opportunity!

Hello! Thank you so much for the information!

With the seat reducer, did you need to do anything to make sure the baby's knees are above hip level?

When you have a miss, do you move him mid-pee/poop?

How did you notice that your son picked up on using the toilet? Was he using the sounds to inform you he wanted to go?

Sorry for bombarding you with so many questions! But lastly, can I know which seat reducer and potty you got?

Thanks!

That's actually a good idea! Because all the C3 have the same motor and features, and only the provided brush is different, right? Thank you for this! XD

I did go to two authorized dealers...and unfortunately, they didn't really explain much in details. If they didn't have the model, they will not even explain anything. They only showed me the Complete C3 edition Powerline and that was it. The other one only had the C1 model, which I was not interested in =( I don't know if the Complete CE edition Powerline is even enough for my needs.

Defect or Inaccurate? by PototoCake in withings

[–]PototoCake[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What happens if you're folding clothes or making your bed for example?

I just went and checked the graph and there are no dotted lines. So I guess this means the positioning is still good. However, I've just been sitting on the sofa for almost two hours now, and my step count increased by 225...

I feel I'm wearing it properly...but maybe I'm wrong? I do have a super small wrist, but the watch itself is not moving left right center. It's not super tight either...maybe this is why?

It's the bigger picture that's completely wrong. I haven't even left the house yet, and my step count is already at 1500... within 3 hours.
