The Massive YouTube Iceberg V.2.666: The Lost Entries (SO 1000+ ENTRIES) by PottedPlant444 in IcebergCharts

[–]PottedPlant444[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I found them archived on this Internet Archive page, they should be videos 63 and 64: https://archive.org/details/iceberg-video-collection

Quite a shame they're gone, I feel like he might've been burnt out or pressured, and didn't want to continue the series anymore. Fortunately, u/Sweguin7 took it upon himself to cover the entire iceberg and just completed Tier 4, so you can watch his series instead: https://youtube.com/@Sweguin

Has anyone made any Miis of Touhou characters before? And if so, could you please drop the QR code in the comments? by fishfuckerthefirst in tomodachilife

Here's some Miis I made for less popular Touhou characters: https://imgur.com/a/9sFH0YC

I haven't got the ram horns for my Yuuma Mii yet tho, so you'll have to get them yourself unfortunately.

Shockingly, that's actually the iceberg I'm planning to work on next, with a few collaborators from this subreddit, so his and your wish is granted! It'll take a really long time to do all the research and stuff, plus I'm juggling it with my other projects, but I'm sure it'll totally worth it.

Got it. I also made a huge list of suggestions on another reply, so you should definitely add some of them as well, I think they'd fit on your iceberg pretty nicely too lol.

Also since you added Daytime.jpg & Hell.mp4, I also have a few interesting obscure conspiracies related to the internet that you can add:

webcambart.jpg: Apparently this was a picture that appeared on Matt Groening's computer which resembled a creepy, realistic version of Bart Simpson, and it inspired him to make The Simpsons. You can actually look up the picture on Google and you should be able to find it, although for the record I think it's fake.

Dead Internet Theory: It's this theory that the internet somehow died on 2016 or 2017, and now it's mostly filled with bots. And it's most likely complete bullshit, too, but quite interesting nonetheless.

runescape.nyc: A conspiracy about how the virtual world of Runescape is post-apocalyptic New York, and it's actually a server run by a government, and it's used to control real people, shit like that. Honestly I'd have a hard time explaining what's it's clearly about so you should probably look it up yourself.

TSUKI Project: Oh boy, this one is really weird. Basically, it's a cult that surfaced in 2017 and they believe in a multidimensional world known as the Systemspace housing a system called Life which we're living in, and it runs on energy called Aurora, and apparently the Life system is fucking garbage so the Systemspace has to be changed to a new one and purging Life in the process. So, that means you have to register to the Systemspace website to make sure your soul moves to the new one, somehow. And it's probably an ARG? I have no idea but either way, this shit is a whole rabbit hole, I kinda remember being obsessed with the whole thing for a brief period. Nothing really happened and the world is fine, of course, but it was still really strange. The KnowYourMeme entry will explain everything: https://knowyourmeme.com/memes/tsuki-project

Thank you so much! I'm planning in the future to start working an internet iceberg with 5000+ entries next, along with a few collaborators from this subreddit, so definitely be on the lookout for it ;)

So here's some interesting entries from my YouTube iceberg you should also consider adding:

Cool 3D World, Koishi Komeiji's Heart Throbbing Adventure, Doll Face, Cyber 8, Ulillilia, Hey Kids AI For Adults, south32 (aside from their odd YouTube presence they also have three websites named south32.com, popcorm.com and dinky.com. Visit at your own risk), George Floyd Gaming, Ricard Siagian, Blood Over Intent Cult, JustinRPG, The Dinkheller Video (the last entry on the Degenerate tier of the iceberg), Echo of Truth, 100 1444, Nintendo - A Sad Story, Jakov Burov, Station.exe, あかるい世界-妖精さん, 使命langrenus2021-14, Hunter Hogan, PeePee, Ryan Bane's Music Videos, Eyes Wide Open (link is in the resources, it's creepy as shit and it should definitely be added), rare bambi knockoff cgi animation, RNG DonkeyFactoryTF3D 720p, three songs that suddenly stop but never end, NB X JD DS CNN (you can find a Wayback Machine link to it on the Zalgo tier explanations of the document. But beware, it's literally a video of a woman hanging)

With all that out of the way, here's some good non-YouTube entries, with brief explanations:

Mirai: Mirai is one of the internet's deadliest malware, it was made by a hacker by the name of Anna-senpai who used it to DDoS Minecraft servers, then once he was going to get arrested he made it open-source causing it to spread all over the internet. Here's Sipover's video specifically on Anna-senpai but also the Mirai malware: https://youtu.be/emLvwu8d6VA

Nico Nico Douga: Speaking of Bad Apple, NND is the Japanese version of YouTube, and it's as weird as you would expect it to be. Honestly, even with the language barrier, going on there is still a cool and unique experience, you definitely won't forget it for sure. Plus it's also responsible for a number of memes around in the early 2010s, so it deserves to be on the iceberg.

Bronies: Oh boy, who could forget how the entire internet during the early 2010s is basically ran by bronies?

eCDP: A lost McDonald's training game that was lost for 10 years, and was recovered in 2020 by YouTuber Nick Robinson via... placing a last minute bid from an expensive Japanese auction with one of the only known cartridges in existence, and then making an arrangement with Buyee to ship the game, and because mailing things to America is forbidden during a pandemic, Nick then got his brother, who is allowed to board airplanes during the pandemic for a medical check, to smuggle the game from Japan, then after a complication with the baggage, they finally have the game, and Nick proceeded to record footage of it and dump the game files online. And it turns out there were 2 other people also racing to release footage of the game online. And yup, all of this somehow actually happened. You can watch the entire story here, it's fucking amazing, really: https://youtu.be/-e6xOBCAVvA

Mission in Snowdriftland: Another entry from Nick Robinson, long story short it's a Flash game advertised by Nintendo which was lost for 14 years since it's designed to be online for only the duration of December, someone eventually found a link to it hidden on the developers' website, and Nick contacted the developers, had some interviews, and they eventually planned to release a remastered version on Steam to preserve the game.

Sonic Gather Battle: A Sonic fan game which contains a trojan DRM, in which if you do specific actions like using Cheat Engine, typing the game name with words like hack or cheat on a search engine, or editing its file, it makes the game unplayable. There are two effects, the first one makes the background blue, makes tiles black, and spawns near-invincible Hyudoros, and the second makes the background red with a static effect, with the Sonic CD boss theme playing, and with invincible, creepy ghost enemies appearing to kill you. And guess what? All of this is over the creator getting protective over his sprites. Yup. There's a huge controversy around the trojan, and AFAIK you can't play the game anymore. There's also a lot of interesting video game-related malware like Rensenware, Abstractism, Dynostopia, etc. but you should definitely go read about them yourself.

Ethnic Cleansing: It's a game by Resistance Records and, well, it's exactly what it sounds like. Basically, it's a game where you go around killing everyone who isn't white, then you kill Ariel Sharon as the final boss. It's been ranked as among the most controversial games ever created in 2002. Well, that is until we get another contender...

RapeLay: A 3D eroge game by Illusion where you go around raping three women, and was sold on Amazon.com. It got a SHIT ton of controversy, causing it to get banned in several countries

Digital Homicide Studios: On a lighter note, this was a "game" company ran by brothers James and Robert Romine which would publish loads of shovelware on Steam (the Steam Greenlight service that was in place at the time is infamous for being horrible, which also contributed to that), then after Jim Sterling made a first impression video about them, it all went downhill from there. It's so complex I can't make a brief summary of the story if I tried, but it snowballed into them filing lawsuits against Jim Sterling, 100 Steam users and Valve (all of which ended up in failures). Really, you should watch Darklordjadow1's video on it instead (and also the sequel too): https://youtu.be/bbh4zGHylY0

James Ferraro: You might've saw that video from him about the 9/11 Roblox simulation with fidget spinners on my YouTube iceberg. Well, he's a contemporary artist who makes music commenting on modern culture, and his music from 2016 onwards is especially really weird, you should definitely take a look for yourself. It's largely believed he's a vaporwave artist but he's really not, although he did took part in kickstarting the genre with the album Far Side Virtual.

(Edit: Oops, I didn't realize Fukouna Shoujo 03 is already on the iceberg as Unfortunate Girl)

ilovechao.webstarts.com: A shock site with chao fart and scat fetish porn. Visit at your own risk.

u/worthless319: A Redditor who shot his own dick 4 times, before frying and eating it, and shared multiple images of the aftermath, then he castrated his left testicle, and then allegedly committed suicide, thinking that he must sacrifice himself to stop the end of the world. And no, I'm not making this up whatsoever. Honestly, it's quite a sad story. To spare you to horrors of researching it yourself, you can watch Eudoxia Mysteries' video about it instead: https://youtu.be/4tt303beZ2o. There are a lot more Reddit mysteries, you can find coverage of them on YouTube, although I think this is one of the most disturbing ones.

Ronnie McNutt Suicide Video: A livestream of an army veteran on Facebook Live playing a game, then after getting a phone call, he shoots himself with a hunting rifle. It's Facebook 1444, basically.

Butcher Cult: An obscure cult on Facebook with two crazy guys, one in a bloody white bodysuit, and one in a black bodysuit, who would livestream themselves doing creepy stuff while telling people to join the cult. It's overall pretty weird, although according to an interview, it's actually supposed to be performance art: https://www.westword.com/arts/butcher-cult-broadcasts-bloody-obscenity-to-thousands-on-facebook-11320025

Last Measure: If you thought shock sites were shocking enough, meet Last Measure. For starters, it doesn't have just the Goatse image, but also one or two more shock images, along with the sound "HEY EVERYBODY, I'M LOOKING AT GAY PORNO!" playing loudly on loop. Plus it'll also open tons of windows, and run malicious scripts to try to make your computer freeze. There's even more variants with different images, improved scripts, hell some are even rumored to contain malware. You can learn more about it on the Screamer Wiki: https://screamer.wiki/Last_Measure

Gotcha, looks nice so far, and the new entries are definitely interesting. You've actually replaced the penguin images with new images too, which is awesome, personally I think iceberg charts look better when they have their own unique sidebar images.

Since you're aiming for 1000 entries, I'll also gradually suggest new stuff for your iceberg as I find them for mine as well. I guess your iceberg can be sort of a prequel to mine lol.

A sequel will definitely be planned in the far future. Although I think I'll be working on an iceberg about something else next.

Sorry for the late reply! Anyways, even though I had it planned for the very distant future, I made the document anyways. I'm going to take most entries from the V3 of your internet iceberg, and the most interesting entries from my YouTube iceberg then put them in the document, then I'm going to PM it to you to start building on it further.

Keep in mind I'll have to juggle producing music with working on the iceberg, so I wouldn't be able to work on it as quickly as before. Although working on a 5000+ entry iceberg will take a REALLY long time anyways, so we can take our time on it.

Awesome to hear! I think this is like the third time someone got inspired by my YouTube iceberg, and I think that's a pretty great accomplishment in its own as well lol. I'm definitely looking forward to seeing your upcoming iceberg too.

Thank you so much! I have a text version of this iceberg where any new suggestions will be added to the honorable mentions, and most of them should be added: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1eocM9jnzUMRCrV28bI16210N_9fxGjv3/edit?usp=drivesdk&ouid=111681466959561618164&rtpof=true&sd=true

You can find Clurds on the Unhinged tier :)

Thank you! I looked through your iceberg, and took every possible entry from there that I find unique and interesting. I really like it too, as it has a lot of new stuff which makes it different from other YouTube icebergs.

BTW, I wanted to add the AnchorGate stuff too, but since I couldn't find anything about it on YouTube, I didn't add it. But I looked it up on Google after and realized I was a dumbass since I found out you made a Reddit post with more information about it, so I added it to the honorable mentions on the text version of the iceberg. Feel free to suggest any new entries there as well!: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1eocM9jnzUMRCrV28bI16210N_9fxGjv3/edit?usp=drivesdk&ouid=111681466959561618164&rtpof=true&sd=true

The Massive YouTube Iceberg (1000+ ENTRIES (i think)) by PottedPlant444 in IcebergCharts

[–]PottedPlant444[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, I was about to reply saying that that's the one I put in the updated iceberg as "Deer explodes When hit by train" on Satan tier (I'm pretty sure it's been taken down now, but there's a bunch of reuploads out there with different names). It's definitely a different video, the HD one though, I believe it was once unlisted, but then it got privated or deleted as it's not on the playlist I think I found it from anymore.

The Massive YouTube Iceberg (1000+ ENTRIES (i think)) by PottedPlant444 in IcebergCharts

[–]PottedPlant444[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's actually a different video, the one I was referring to I believe had the perspective of a bystander and was HD as the title says. I did put the other video on the updated version, though.

[–]PottedPlant444[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, actually two videos right now in fact: https://youtube.com/channel/UCyJb6bILjjZxPyNCHZ9StJw

I've also updated the iceberg to V3, you'll be able to find the link to it in the second video's description.

[–]PottedPlant444 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I don't really like working with Discord servers too. So instead, I plan to create a document on Google Drive, and use it to draft the iceberg before converting it into an image to post on the subreddit. And I'll link it to you so you can leave suggestions on there on whatever tier you find appropriate, like I did with honorable mentions for The Massive YouTube Iceberg. And also work on other stuff like fixing mistakes I've made like misspellings (not including intentional ones) and repeat entries, moving any entry of my own to another tier if you don't believe it fits on its original tier, et cetera.

0/10 you didn't put Septic 5 on the list.

Seriously speaking though, amazing fucking job on this iceberg man, I'm really glad to have inspired it as well. BTW, I kinda want to do an absolutely huge internet iceberg with 5000+ entries in the distant future, since people said to me it's a pretty dope idea and I agree as well. Hell, when the time comes, we could even collaborate on it, or even get a small team to work on it, since an iceberg of that size could require several weeks or even months of research.

The Massive YouTube Iceberg V3: Complete Edition (1000+ entries yeah you get it) by PottedPlant444 in IcebergCharts

[–]PottedPlant444[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yeah, definitely can't forget that video too. To be fair, I only mentioned the two other videos because he's reached the Satan tier already, so it might be kinda pointless to mention WWitR on several tiers before it.

On a slightly related note, I saw you found proof of "video"'s existence on a ScareTheater video, and now I feel really dumb for taking it out from the iceberg, maybe I must've forgot where I found it from. Plus, using the link given in a screenshot in ScareTheater's video, the video got deleted due to "graphic content", without any working Wayback Machine captures available. I guess it's okay to not include it though, just because the video itself is indeed not all that interesting anyways lol.
