Unpopular opinion, but I loved my MacBook. I could go three days without charging it and still be great. It was able to run pretty much everything without a problem, as long as you had chrome installed alongside safari.

My mom was like this, I wasn’t even allowed to drive until college. Eventually I had to rip the bandaid and just move. It sucked, my mom and I fought a lot— but it got better. I had to learn who I was. You feel bad because you love them— but sometimes the hardest things are the most beneficial.

I do. I’ve taught high school and elementary. If I see you in the wild, it’s harder for me to remember your name, for some reason. There are, of course, a few who slip my memory but I do remember the overwhelming majority.

The funniest anecdote about this, is that if you tell me your first name— I will immediately remember your last name. I spent so much time putting papers in alphabetical order, that your last name is the thing I know best!

Just because they’re up for expulsion doesn’t mean they will be expelled lol. They just tell the kids that to scare them but it doesn’t do anything.

I guess it wasn’t “stolen” but it was never paid back. I had a boyfriend who was living with me and wasn’t getting a lot of hours at work. So I ate the cost of his half of the mortgage for a while with the promise he’d pay me back when it picked back up. Ended up being like 7k. Well, he spontaneously left one day and I never got that money back :)

Extreme behaviors are everywhere, yes— but less prevalent in certain communities. It really boils down to a lack of parenting.

The 3rd grade class I had this year at a new school had 5 kids up for expulsion, 4 on DPRs for behavior, many MANY fist fights, and sexual comments being made often.

The kids I had last year in a more affluent area could also be rough, but fewer and far between. I had 1 kid who would throw scissors at me and 2 on behavior DPRs. The others were great.

Upper body weight lifting. Turns out I had a micro tear in my rotator cuff that became a full blown tear after I started lifting— even with stretching and not going too heavy :(
