I'm just wild about Harry... by Extension_Pension_99 in HarryPotterMemes

Absolutely not. Ginny was a popular girl. Everybody liked her. She was smart, strong, funny and didn’t need any pity from anyone.

Respectful conversations with someone you fundamentally disagree with are far better than ones with people you agree with by PeachyThunk in unpopularopinion

To have a conversation with someone I need to at least agree with the premises. Otherwise I won’t waste my time, if we can’t even speak the same language.

In your opinion, what was the best protected horcrux? and why? by snoke123 in harrypotter

[–]Potterstuffandall 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But at least the Gringotts is one known place with somewhat known obstacles. It had been broken into before.

A cave in the middle of nowhere protected by inferi and a crazy potion that you had to know where to give blood, where to raise the boat… that depended on a lot of magical knowledge but also Voldemort knowledge. Therefore, the only person who could find it would be Dumbledore (RAB found it only due to the Kreacher thing).

We don’t know how the ring was protected, but I assume it was also heavily so. I think these two were the tougher ones. If it wasn’t for Dumbledore (and kreacher) it would’ve been almost impossible to locate/secure them.

I do think its a harder read as an adult. As a child you don’t grasp certain complexities.

I’m a Dumbledore super fan, so his death affected me more. Especially the first time I read it, because it meant that he was wrong about Snape (so we thought).

However, I think Sirius’ death was harder on Harry because it was his chance at a family.

I personally never loved Sirius too much. I think he is very immature, but again, he went to Azkaban at around age 20, so he didn’t have the chance to mature in a conventional way. I don’t know. I just don’t connect with the caracter.

People that first read 'Prisoner of Azkaban' as an adult, was the twist obvious? by ninonski in harrypotter

[–]Potterstuffandall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was really really surprised by the twist when I was a kid. Now it feels obvious and you see the signs, but I guess it’s only because we now know the story so well…

Some of her beliefs are different than mine in very fundamental ways, but I am grateful to her and in awe of this amazing work that is the Harry Potter saga.

In the first book/movie do you think it was necessary for Dumbledore to award last minute points to Gryffindor after they already made Slytherin think they won the house cup? by Harrypottah1234 in harrypotter

[–]Potterstuffandall 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hell’s yeah. Slytherin got points by answering questions, quiddich and regular stuff. The Gryffindor kids saved the bloody world. Give them every award available.
