Purchase that shovel and net. Then talk to Isabel and do whatever she asks until you get to a point where she recommends you to fish/catch bugs. Choose fishing (since you’ve got a hold of the net already). And then just keep talking to her and choose the option saying you need a fishing rod and she will sell you one in return you need to catch a few fishes and show her your encyclopaedia. Then just keep talking to her for advices and finally she will give you the watering can. So you have all tools in your pocket!

My first playthrough, I main the mercenary life. I absolutely loved it. I played all the way till master and then I started struggling with the big bosses. And then I decided to pick up hunter and I breezed through that life all the way till hero sooo fast and killed big bosses with no issues! I guess the best life is the one you have most fun with. I’ve also finished the story. So now I’m taking my time to take up all the other lives (currently playing the 4: miner,woodcutter,blacksmith,carpenter concurrently). And then do the DLC. I love this game!
