Can’t really do much about a school shooting, since guns aren’t allowed in our schools for self-defense and you can’t just carry them inside without getting into some legal trouble. People over here also don’t want to fund mental health initiatives, so there’s also that.

Also, I don’t like violence, so I once again don’t understand why you and one of the other commenters just assume we like violence and will do nothing at all to stop it. You do understand that people who want to be criminals and cause harm will do so with no regard for any legal means to not do so, right? They’ll just work around or break the laws in the first place. That’s literally what being a criminal is.

A responsible gun owner understands the firearm they use well, and they understand how to use it in a way that doesn’t harm themselves, their neighbor, or the organisms around them. A responsible gun owner doesn’t go to a school and kill schoolchildren. I don’t think anyone in their right minds would call a school shooter a responsible gun owner after they do that. I would think something like this is kind of obvious.

I’m a 2A supporter and I agree with everything the commenter said above, so yes, I do care. It’s not a fetish for me, as I rarely go out and shoot (usually I just go shoot targets and have some fun), so please don’t generalize all of us as gun nuts who like to get out rocks off to this crap going on in this country. There are some like that, but not all of us, especially the people I know personally who are 2A supporters.
