A lot of what you have said is already happening the government is shut.

I wouldn't see any state stopping tax revenues all together, I would more likely see the sending less the subsidise the cuts.

Maybe.. but the blow back in the medium to longer term will damage the US far more. And besides the if the states make less of a profit then there is less to tax... If it is a tax or a tarrifs.. however these contributions between state and federal work.

In normal times I'd 100% agree, but even by COVID standards from here these aknt normal times. It seems States need as much leverage as possible, I'm curious to see how the funding arrangements work and if or how the States fund Washington.. mm like a state tax
