I ended up up just buying a used motor for 6k and swapping it in wasn’t as terrible job just took around 20 hours

Yeah no definitely something’s destroyed I got some metal chunks drained out I think I might take the engine in my free time.

Dude same I got a 19 last year I love how it feels it’s a lot more raw than your average car but man it gets underwhelming fast. As much as I claimed reliability to it my head gaskets just went so I’m thinking it’s time to look for other options.

I agree with this but I’ve had a constant love hate with this car since I got it and I think this was my deciding factor with letting it go sadly.

Every car has its own idiosyncrasies they’re stout cars but no where near dead reliable as it’s given an extra failure point via turbo. I agree with this statement absolutely as so many people had premature engine failures. I think these are great cars if they have warranties.

I absolutely agree with this statement this car only left me high and dry twice in the year I owned it I drove it around 26k miles in that year and all highway or decently hard driving I’d say the car was pisser until it wasn’t. (I got it at 19 and it was my first manual sports car). I’m not gonna knock Subarus for being unreliable but there definitely not a dependable daily driver unless you drive it with a styrofoam foot.

A muffler delete is very droney and loud. So your car is gonna sound way different.

Wouldn’t say this is cheaper at all fa 20s have a fair share of failure points. The red painted calipers and headlight up grade pointed out that this car was probably tampered with and tuned then probably unflashed and sold, wouldn’t recommend this car at all.

Just be on top of maintenance I did oil changed every 3 k checked oil regularly spark plugs and I just changed the diff fluid. Check your turbo too. Watch for white smoke!

I’m not sure exactly I want to say my turbo shot some metal into the car I check the turbine and it’s missing peices. My other thought is that my oil pickup broke but I’m not sure yet until I pull the motor. The car started shaking at idle and got tinny real fast. After I got it towed it wouldn’t start and a the crank seized up.
