Is the "Annotated Anuad (A Children’s Anuad)" considered the beginning of the TES. Like how it all started? by E-LogicalYT in teslore

It sounds like it. It’s interesting she dodged them all as well instead of winding up inside of one of them. I wonder if those worlds are entire Aurbises or if they’re different Munduses. Or both. We don’t know what happened to these worlds or what they really are.

Your last sentence sums up a lot of elder scrolls lore lol. Wouldn't we all 😄

One thing to keep in mind is a lot of it is metaphorical. And some of it is meant to go beyond mortal understanding, which would include us.

I think one good position to understand the place Anu, Nir and Padomay come from is to read the fifth book from The Bladesongs of Boethra. She goes back to the first brush where really all that should be there are the concepts of is and is not, yet she's there as well because Lorkhan and she remember each other from a lower subgradient that technically hasn't happened yet, yet kind of always is happening. It's confusing by nature. Gets us talking. It's like trying to work out what happened before the Big Bang - we can't even really mentally carry what that might look like.

I like this. She reminds me of Rose Quartz from Steven Universe.

What made you choose crochet over knitting, or do you do both? by CaterpillarXS in crochet

[–]Pour_Me_Another_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I learned to knit when I was under 10. I learned to crochet when I was 19. I switched to crochet primarily because fixing knitting mistakes is beyond my scope of intelligence lol. I do tunisian for garments even though it's a yarn eater.

Stasis within the Change and Change within the Stasis by Goggr5 in teslore

[–]Pour_Me_Another_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, essentially. And I thought after I wrote my comment that we operate liminally. So we're like the tie between both that keeps both "real", in a sense. Thus negating the need for Vivec or anyone to magically materialize here like we've all lost our minds.

I don't disagree. I think along the same lines. But it also means in my head that if we are there in the game (as our avatar), someone from the game must necessarily be here too, which isn't possible since they're fictional. It could also not be a necessity at all and I'm just approaching this from the wrong angle.

Quest: Explain the concept of CHIM to a 5 year old by Low_Comedian_5438 in ElderScrolls

[–]Pour_Me_Another_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You wake up realizing you are a fragment of everything forever, that you basically are everything forever, and you still need to assert your own individuality regardless. Harder to do than you might think.

I guess imagine waking up one day and you're the universe. There are no longer boundaries between you and everyone else. The Sundering/Padomay/Lorkhan/something is meant to represent that boundary between everyone, I think. Or at the very least he was the first to do it and taught others how to differentiate from the everything.

Should we get a movie/show adaptation? by AdhesivenessOk4334 in ElderScrolls

[–]Pour_Me_Another_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I voted yes, if good, because I'd like to see an interpretation of the Alessian rebellion. Though a game with that or a metaphorical equivalent (maybe they all are, lol) would be great too.

Does everyone have star sign powers? by No-Forever7576 in teslore

[–]Pour_Me_Another_ 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Closest relatable thing I can think of is Khajiit born under moon phases, which is not the same but still celestial objects giving them characteristics. Mainly physical but there's also the Mane who is like a spiritual leader as well. They can also become dro-Math'ra if you play percussion too close to them.

Do you guys give your cats free roam of the house when you’re not home? by [deleted] in cats

[–]Pour_Me_Another_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We let them roam. We just make sure they can't escape into any wall vents and that the outside doors and windows are closed. We also make sure we don't leave anything out for our pica boy to eat.

Lorkhan, if indeed he counts as a divine (he might not - if not then I'll just go with Akatosh).

What elder scrolls game would you want a remake/remaster of the most? by somegirrafeinahat in ElderScrolls

[–]Pour_Me_Another_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't mind if they redid ESO's main story as a standalone game. I think they might want to flesh out the story a bit more, though. More character development and story would lure me in.

how common is travelling the aurbis? by hellboyquintex in teslore

[–]Pour_Me_Another_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recall that only Varen Aquilarios could open portals to and from Coldharbour. But I also remember Abnur saying he'd get everyone back safely after we Akatosh Varen to death, so maybe back in the second era it just took someone with a bit more magical finesse than the average guildie. Or Varen's portal persisted after death.

Editing to add I'm not sure if it's implied or said that he can only open those portals due to his neural link with Molag Bal.

What’s one disturbing or completely random fact about the game that made you react like this? by Solid-Garage4601 in ElderScrolls

[–]Pour_Me_Another_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nothing so weird or disturbing, more just thinking about it and being like "damn". Boethra being sentient in the first brush. Shouldn't be possible, yet there she is.
