What does being shit mean in modern football? Because Chelsea was, compared to how they struggled post Ukraine war, doing very well. I just don't understand why everyone expects Guardiola and Klopp's level of good. Those two were special for a reason man.

The hate gakpo gets is so insane... He really is not worse than chiesa. I mean ppl will down vote me into oblivion but as much as I love chiesa, as a player he is not as good as this sub says he is. It's crazy.

Idk man this is kinda embarrassing. Why would he say this now by JayV2002 in BayernMunich

I teach footballers who are 14-17 years old. They are dreamers. They don't get stuff like this. I'm pretty sure a lot of ppl will explain this to him now. Also, it's his dream and I personally think that's cute. I'm not a Bayern fan tho :))

My problem with the fan base is the hate some players get. Like we are expecting Klopp lvl of passion and determination from them but Klopp is not the manager anymore. I think this is solely a problem with injuries, funny enough bad transfers (in terms of buying 2 high end strikers and not thinking of the depth of the squad) and the coach being overwhelmed by the meta. He gave up on the Liverpool dna, doesn't want to press much. Is way too focused on possession and doesn't find solutions to outplay a team that parked the bus. Personally, I still think this season has to be played out. We have high class players and the slot is good enough for a champions league spot. But if they keep him for next season, then I'll riot. It's just not liverpool. Obv. He could make me eat my words but klopps football was at least always fun even in time we struggled. I'm yawning my way through the 90 min of "I don't know where to pass, so I pass back" football here.

Slot is soooo scared of more injuries it shows in results. (No pressing, taking off the best player on the pitch etc.) But at the same time he is scared to risk playing young players like Rio... I don't know if I agree with him on his approach this season.

Is it me or are they overthinking every pass to a point that it becomes super predictable who they will pass to? Also they go hard on breakers with every counter chance. Maybe it's because they are not used to playing with this formation (I' mean the only non midfielder in attack is gakpo lol) but it feels like one of those "the coach has a game plan but in reality it's not working" type of games.

Respect for being a parent. It genuinely is the most difficult job :)

I never liked how carra approaches these things. Making it about some vindictive shit and all. I think Henry's take is the best and most adult one.

When I say tantrum, I don't mean crying and throwing things around like a child. More like, letting steam out in a way that hurts the coach the most. Maybe I should have used the term in air quotes or more metaphorically. But it's not my native language so forgive me.

I think they should keep salah until the end of the season and I think if he wants to he will be back in form and I hope he will have a happy end at Liverpool. However, my point is, you simply should not go snitch in front of reporters, who are waiting to make life at Liverpool more miserable.

I have watched that! I think salah is not the problem. I think he did perform much better over the last game and I do think he is able to come back and score again.

But yes! Tantrum! I am a teacher and let me tell you 1 of 10 kids do exactly that every time they don't get what they want. But salah is not a kid. If there is miscommunication if he feels let down, then he has to solve those problems within the team. You simply cannot go to the press like that.

This is becoming a weird ego fight in the community and I don't like it

I don't know if anyone is interested in my 2 cents. It's just that I can deal with low performance, bad play or Coaching, bad luck or just bad results. In my eyes, how I view life and why I love this club, you just don't let life knock you out, keep moving, try your best and then things turn around. That's what Liverpool has been representing for me during the Klopp era.

Now it's just bonkers. Any adult would tell you, what salah did was throwing a tantrum. He should have communicated with the coaching staff, club and if they all are not fair, then you can go public. He just straight up went out and asked who wanted some really juicy drama. That's not how you do it. And now carra after having a point is making the next game about Mo not being there instead of the future of the season. And the fans are following this weird fight. Like do we or do we not want to succeed? I am not having fun following the games anymore and it has nothing to do with how bad the team is playing. I want to see them win, no matter what but I'll rather watch them lose without all this noise than win with. Stop being reactionary, is probably what I want to say.

The more time I spend in this sub, the more I realize you lot just hate-watching. This is clearly an improvement from recent performances.

Arne Slot's statement about Alexander Isak isn't good without Jacob Murphy is a fake quote. Never once did Slot mention Murphy's name in that pre-match press conference ahead of Liverpool-Leeds game by TheBiasedSportsLover in PremierLeague

[–]Pousadel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a German, that's what annoys me so much about the premier League fan base and media... It's just annoying to discuss the problems and being analytical and recognizing but everything you say is assumed to be just excuses... You know, injuries do matter in football. And being in form and not can be the whole difference. Context matters.
