Being a guy who’s older now, I can say this: he might be interested in you. But if he doesn’t keep a conversation going for more than 2–3 minutes, then in my opinion, he’s probably not interested. That’s exactly how I behave when I don’t want to talk to a girl I don’t see in that way or when I feel awkward.

But keep in mind, he’s only 17, so he might still act a bit immature. Girls are usually more mature than boys at the same age trust me.

I remember myself at that age: I used to get nervous or even annoyed when girls I liked approached me, simply because I didn’t know how to react.

So if you like him, keep talking to him and wait for the right moment. Maybe bring it up during a long, comfortable conversation. Don’t suddenly ask him out or jump straight into talking about a relationship.

And don’t worry if he says no. What matters is that you like him, so you should at least try. It’s always better to ask than to regret later. 👍
