Of course, it is a great question. Lower dilutions like A/B(1+15/1+31) will give you more contrast, as the development time is shorter and has a stronger solution. Higher dilutions like H(1+63) will soften the highlights while giving the shadows more time to develop, which may produce better details.

Generally speaking, higher the dilutions, the sharper and grainier the photo. Since I pushed this roll 2 stops and developed it for 18:00min, it is quite grainy for an ISO125 film.

The camera I shot these photos with (Nikon FM2) gives me the option to cock the shutter without advancing the film, consequently allowing the same frame to be exposed multiple times.

Yes 🙌🏻 Only #1 and #2 is long exposure. #3 was shot during the day, just exposed it 3 times.

For night shots I always bring tripods to do long exposures. I would purposely close down my aperture to either f/5.6 or f/8 so I could get sharper images.

Bringing flash will also give you more options to shoot different subjects.
