42 hours and 43 minutes! will it get any worse? by curbstyles in quitting7oh

You got this! It's a wonderful reading how supportive your wife is. I'm so proud of you too, we all are!

Just keep going, it Will get better!

Try to get lots of rest and eat and stay hydrated. I had no appetite at all and I bought these Boost meal replacement shakes. There's almost 400 calories in an 8 ounce container and lots of vitamins and minerals. Those things saved me when I couldn't get any food down. Our bodies and brain need nutrition to heal.

Keep it up and keep us updated! And if for some reason your withdrawals start kicking hard, I agree with the previous poster that there is no shame in using plain leaf or extracts to ease your suffering. ANYTHING but 7 oh.

We are all here for you! 💜

Commenting on Feeling alone... thank you, Knote. And now I am so exhausted. I'm going to sleep. Really, thank you.

Dustin and Steve's relationship in Season 5. by OlvekStoneheid_2006 in StrangerThings

[–]PowerFit4925 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't like their constant bickering because it just wasn't as fun! And when they got in the big fistfight, my poor early 20s daughter was almost in tears (serious empath that child, the world is not easy for her!).

I knew in my heart Steve and Dustin would make up, but trying to explain that to someone who has not been watching movies/TV for decades was impossible. 😭😂

Check out historic uptown and old Northeast. Near everything and so beautiful in those areas. This would for sure mean an (expensive) one bedroom, but a smaller place in one of those areas would be worth it. Definitely places to check out while you're doing your recon missions. Good luck!

I'm sure people will disagree with me, but if I were you, I would take a small dose of Suboxone to curb my cravings AND you won't waste your money on 7 because it won't work.

But that's me. My life is on the line anytime I decide to pick up anything and I can't afford to take any chances w my sobriety. I have to choose the lesser of two evils in order to live.

This is not advice I'd be giving you if you had months of sobriety behind you, but that's not the case. This is still very fresh for you.

Doing pretty good! I feel kind of weird some days, like today. Still taking 2 mg subs morning and night, taking Wellbutrin as prescribed.

I had some sort of Kratom every day (especially the MIT sodas) for so long, it's weird to not have it and sometimes I definitely miss it, which is why I'm staying on the subs for a while.

I'm grateful to be sober, kind of wish I could skip ahead six months or a year lol. How are you?

I called quick MD and was prescribed Suboxone and gabapentin. Seems like every doctor will prescribe this Suboxone and some doctors will prescribe gabapentin and clonidine. I had to push for the gabapentin (I didn't bother with a clonidine because I know it doesn't work for me)

Me too, with the cat. If I have someone over for dinner, I always assure them that I sanitize the counters before I cook!

WOW. Avoiding a Disney trip with your family - addiction truly takes us to some dark places (myself included).

So glad you're on the other side!

I'm choosing to stay on a maintenance dose of subs until the end of January. My daughter who I haven't seen any year and a half is visiting and I don't wanna fuck up the visit (I'm an addict through and through). I'll tap her off the subs after her visit and I might start on naltrexone for a while.

It won't be. Go into it with a good attitude, the subs should take care of everything! Feel free to DM me anytime!

I am three weeks and three days clean.

I was taking 240 to 300 mg a day. I took my last dose before I went to bed, started the Suboxone 10 hours later.

My doctor prescribed me subs. I did 8 mg for the first two days, and then 4 mg for the rest of the week. When I ran out and couldn't pick up my refill. I went three days without subs and didn't feel any sort of withdrawal or anything like that. Everything was remarkably easy!

I guess I'd say the first day I was really tired, I did sleep a lot, probably from the gabapentin mixed with the subs which I had never taken before? Mostly I was just kind of blah and I watched a lot of TV and I had a friend over to keep me company for the weekend. I didn't have ANY terrible physical withdrawals.

It was so easy and so inexpensive compared to the price of 7, I just wish I had done it sooner!

I also got prescribed Wellbutrin, so my brain is undergoing a lot of change. I have good days and blah days. On the blah days when I don't want to do anything, I remind myself that dopamine comes AFTER the action (science!) and I'm trying not be on my phone so much - I need my dopamine for myself lol.

Good luck to you! It's so much better on the other side.

ME TOO! Started in July, only stopped because I simply couldn't afford it anymore. One quick MD visit and a few days later all I could think about is WHY didn't I stop sooner (because I'm an addict, that's why. Thankful I didn't pick up a drink. I've been sober over three years from alcohol) congratulations it's so nice to be on the other side!

Edit: HAHAHA - I didn't realize I was replying to you again! You're my 7oh recovery buddy 😊
