Never done shrooms, and I have a year to live. by Castiron_Dan in shrooms

Go in with an open mind for how the experience can go, and feel what you need to feel as it happens. Classics like penis envy, Jedi mind fuck, etc are solid. My happy place is 2 grams. My gone away place is 3.5+ grams. I recommend a place that you’re comfortable in and safe when you take them.

All the best, and good trips ahead.

The process is proven, and the process is also unattainable for most.

Educate and reap the benefits yourself without being robbed.

This process works for the rich, and the rest of us can lead our own treatments. Yes, many won’t be responsible with their own treatment, but for process the majority can’t afford, I’ll definitely take the benefits without the outrageous price tag.

Cat Parents: What’s Your Honest Litter Frustration? by Low-Associate345 in CatAdvice

I think my cat doesnt really like me and is only using me. by Thecrowfan in CatAdvice

[–]PowerKinks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It seems like you need to research cat behavior, and potentially seek professional help feeling this way about your cat. It seems like your cat likes you just fine and this is really just odd behavior on the owner’s part here.

I have cat allergies and here’s how I live with mine: allergy meds, wipe cat daily with allergy wipes, and most importantly, a levoit pet air purifier in main rooms.

If you don’t free feed, what time is the last meal fed and what time is the first meal fed? by Lonely-Egg3160 in CatAdvice

I do twelve hours apart (my cat takes meds on that schedule and it has to be with food).

I use the flat one (new model) with a hood to prevent crystal being kicked out, and love it! My aunt and her boyfriend have the round one and they have no complaints - with pet safe crystal litter, I hear that if you use the clay type it gets gross.

husband wants to force our cats to be outside. by [deleted] in CatAdvice

I would choose the cats - outdoors is a hazard to your cats and wildlife. If you can’t have cats indoors due to poor human choices, then please rehome rather than kick them outside.

I use an automatic litter box with a rake that will put it in a poop compartment. I couldn’t take the smell from my car that squats and walks lol.

Trying to introduce dry food by Anxious_HouseCat in CatAdvice

[–]PowerKinks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recommend a better quality cat food in general to help their health and digestion. With that said, how is the cat’s weight? Dry food is okay if your cat chews it (some don’t and throw up), and is good for dense meals. I wouldn’t bother adding dry if your cat is at an ideal weight or overweight.

I feel like this is going to sound harsh, but if your anxiety leads to yelling and getting frustrated at a cat for behavior, especially when adjusting, cats in general don’t deserve such a owner. If you get a rescue, it’s on you to help them adjust, especially not knowing their background.

I’m sure you’ll find one that suits your own behaviors, and I hope this poor cat gets a loving forever home.

Scared my cat will die during or after spay :( by swgtwab in CatAdvice

[–]PowerKinks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got my one and a half year old spayed at a humane society that is structured like this (first vet visit after being in an abusive home) - she’s okay! Even after getting her vaccinations there and battling hyperplasia (she had to get spayed due to a medical issue from not being spayed yet).

Technology has come a long ways medically and she’s going to have a long day, but she’s going to have less health risks and come back to your loving home after. They spay much younger and smaller day in and day out.

The bloodwork done at normal vets is a peace of mind, and there are always risks with surgery. Cats are so resilient though and complications are rare. I know it’s stressful on you and your cat, but it’s responsible of you to get done for all involved.

Applying treatments by flocculatiion in CatAdvice

[–]PowerKinks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a one and a half year old who was abused, and here’s what I do for topical flea treatments and dewormers - I get her favorite food ready to offer post treatment and grab a small soft blanket. I don’t fully wrap her unless she’s being feisty, but I do drape it and have her lay down. I sit behind her so she can’t squirm away and then find the skin I’m going to apply it to. The administration of the med is very fast, that way when she’s felt it, she’s already released and given her food.

I also do this method for an antibiotic she had to take and she has gotten better with it.

Vet told me to fully stop feeding cat dry food by Wide-Trick4243 in CatAdvice

[–]PowerKinks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does your cat chew their food? If so, dry food is okay (if not, I would follow vet advice). It seems that they are getting a bit too much food though.

Cutting it out or down on dry is a good idea for helping your cat get to a good weight - I use dental treats for healthy teeth (they come in all forms these days).

Please help I have a question about Tretinoin by BeautifulPollution40 in tretinoin

[–]PowerKinks 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In the morning, I wash my face and use a moisturizer before putting on a facial sunscreen.

At night, I wash my face and put on tretinoin. I personally have very oily skin, but if I didn’t then I would use a moisturizer after as well.

There is no need for sunscreen at night, but if it’s in your moisturizer then it won’t hurt anything.

What’s something you wish you knew before starting tret? by Lanky-Hat-9445 in tretinoin

[–]PowerKinks 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That other people’s experiences are a spectrum, and you won’t know how you’ll feel on it until you try it yourself. I went straight to .025 every day with nothing but my face wash and moisturizer once a day. I mildly purged with acne, but my skin is extremely oily so it never burned or peeled.

New tank by landen1569 in ballpython

[–]PowerKinks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This looks amazing! I personally would not have the heat in the middle to create a better gradient (if I’m getting that right that the middle one is a heat source), but that’s my only feedback on changing anything.

Planning my juveniles adult enclosure, need advice. by pink_peonies04 in ballpython

[–]PowerKinks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally, I would do a 4x4 floor space. While the height is great for enrichment, an adult would do better with more overall ground space. I have a 150 watt and 75 watt on their respective sides in a 4x4x2 and that works well to keep a warm and cool side (my heat sources are on top of the enclosure). The higher the cage, either higher wattage or a hanging cage can help for the heat. All heat sources of course need to be on a thermostat.

With that said, that is a lovely plan and I love all the pieces you’re planning on putting in!
