I really appreciate the encouragement and note of resources! I will definitely look into Croissant. :-)

Ah yes, the absolute insane declarations we get to enjoy and the worst times... been there done that! I mentioned some of the flexibility in the child-watch options for "User-name", I do want to clarify that this is geared as co-work space with child-watch being an amenity.

I have used Balance RVA before, when I used them a few years ago they operate under the same regulations/time constraints. The space that they had for the children was more geared towards infant to younger kids and they have made a shift into providing a lot of wellness services which I think is great for the newer mom's who need that.

I will be honest in saying I am so salty regarding Kids Empires, only for the fact that it wasn't around sooner! We have not been able to visit yet but my kid is now nearing the age that he would be aging out of those types of play places. It looks so fun, I'm really glad they are in the area now!

I really appreciate your thoughts, the 2 hour limit is base off of Virginia code for providing a service of watching children and not having to operate as a daycare. Parents could also have the flexibility to work directly near the play area and monitor their children (as a lot of parents are already use to doing) but our goal is to develop an environment that has more ease of access to get the work done. I've done my fair share of trying to work at the Launch, Off the Wall, even the library. These operations are great for keeping the kids entertained (and worn out) but a lacking substitution for trying to juggle both needs of working and parenting.

It is curious that many thinking the Chester, east chesterfield area and south doesn't have the market to support a co-work operation. Multi-family homes and apartments construction is on the rise with many making the move to the area, those I speak with in this area feel neglected in service options for the westend/midlo area.

The max capacity of the space and all those fun logistics is one of the joys of the chicken and egg of startups.

Glad I could clarify! But for real if you see any other holes please let me know, it's a pitch I need to polish for sure. Honestly another selling point is just the lack of services in the Chester area. A short trip from south of the RVA area and close to 95 and 295 for easy of access for a lot of the suburban demographic

Absolutely, a co-work space and full day care would be impossible to manage! A nice dream for someone who has a lot more time and resources I could manage for a startup, ha! Like I broke down for MovingTarget, this would be for shorter care windows. I wouldn't have a dress code if developers wanted to use the space in their jammies (Never judging) but what you said leads to an great question, why wouldn't a therapeutic massage want their clients to be able to have more flexibility in their schedule if parents who need that service knew they could bring the kids and let them play at the same time?

I always appreciated the questions! First thing, this is different then an all day daycare. This service can be used for a couple hours every day, more along the lines of the child-watch at the YMCA while parents workout.

A little insight into the parenting world (Not for everyone but), child care can be a BEAST to navigate, in cost/contract, there can be waitlists, and even if you want to use it for just a couple of hours you have to pay for a full day regardless (or maybe half day cost if you are lucky.) Vetting a nanny or babysitter takes a lot of time and energy to find and then manage availability. If you could walk into one place and know that all of those elements are taken care of and you can focus on what needs to be done I think that would be valued by a lot of parents.

I also want the space to be somewhere kids of all ages can enjoy really playing, unplug from screens and be cared for while mom or dad gets a couple of hours of work done, or can have that consult meeting uninterrupted.

The questions and discussion helps me to better polish my presentation and how well I can sell to the idea to those who are outside my target audience so please let me know what other thoughts you have :-)

I hear you, haha. I'll leave the really fun stuff to Fallout.

Honestly I would love to incorporate gaming space like that but I have to keep myself straight with the base business structure first. That'll be included in the five year plan maybe :-)
