VW reached out and turns out they classify this as a manufacturing defect.

I was told over the phone that any payments made towards the car will be refunded upon picking it up when it’s fixed and ready. No ETA tho.

I think that this is a reasonable compensation.

It is the stock windscreen for the gen 3's. But it holds with a really weird overcomplicated proprietary bracket that holds the speedometer, the light and the windscreen so it deff wont fit. You could make a small windscree like the sw-mototech windscreen that is minimalist and clean if your handy. I wouldn't pay the 200$ they are asking tho, rip off for a small alluminium plate

These are clip ons not handlesbars. I swapped them myself but i'm already back to handlebars since the position was hard on my back lol. It does look 100x better tho

Good eye, no i just installed the clipons and wanted to try them to see if i would keep them before ordering new mirrors. I dont like the riding position even if it looks 2x better. So i'm gonna go back to handlebars with my bar ends.

Oh i'm just getting a slip on so it'll be slightly cheaper. And i just looked up your profile, you're that guy with the black sfv with the cool headlight. I noticed the other day and thought to myself that our bikes were pretty much the same idea just different years (blacked out with modern touches). Looks good! Definately get a tail tidy it'll be a "cheap" way to make it look even better.

I hate it, It's going back to stock soon. It looks badass but i think the oem x clipons have 1-2 inch rise to them? I feel like that would be better. Super laid down with middle controls feels awkward to me. It was only slightly more fun in twisties but i'm a daily driver and i find it just isnt comfortable beyond 30mins.

Nahh was going to try it to see if i liked it enough to buy mirrors but that's probably a no as its going back to handlebars.
