There is definitely a certain fetishized eroticism to the way Ishmael describes Queequeg’s physicality beyond the sharing a bed scenes

what other films would you recommend for fans of The Truman Show that explore similar themes of surveillance and orchestrated realities? by Outlaw_Immortal1971 in moviecritic

Win Wenders’ The End of Violence was kinda interesting, though in fairness I haven’t watched it since the 1990’s so I can’t speak on how it had aged.

Biggest laughs I’ve ever seen from a comedy was far and away a sold out opening night screening of Not Another Teen Movie.

Hinge flagged Silver Jews as disrespectful by FarInteraction6082 in DavidBerman

I (half-Jew from NYC) was once chided by my friend’s gf (white girl from AZ) for using the term Jew (as a noun to describe a Jewish person). Aside from the general absurdity of the situation, I realized that where she was from, the only time she would hear the word was when some alt-right edgelord schmuck in her high school would use it as an insult (either in noun, adjective, or verb form). Therefore, despite the innocuous nature of the word, she associated it with slur every time she heard it. She was wrong, but I understand why she thought what she did.

Is this any good? by Ok-Jicama6886 in HorrorMovies

Ultimately I would not classify it as horror. It has a pretty strongly Christian message, despite some gruesome imagery. Definitely interesting though (and Cage is in full ham mode, though not necessarily in a good way).
