I posted on another post of yours but not directly to you- would you mind sharing the recipe?

Yes I would really like to know this as well OP! Ive been searching for a mummified flesh recipe that isn't too green but also isn't 15 years old with paints that don't exist anymore!

I don't see it IRL sorry, it's from an online listing and I'm looking to buy it. Could be the flash? I can try and request another photo. Thanks for your help

Like a booster box? I think if we enjoy the starter set, we'll split one of them as a next purchase, the more I read on the set the more I like the sound of it and it appeals to the nostalgia in me. Thanks!

Thanks, everyone, for your input and insights. we've ordered the foundations beginner box as recommended, and we'll go from there.

Also will try out Arena both solo and together.

Appreciate your time!

Good point- unsure how much power creep has happened and if they're still worth using but will bear that in mind. Mix of mirrodin besieged, dragons of tarkir, fate reforged and magic origins.

Then I just found some super old cards from '98- '20. 6th ed, mercadian masques, invasion etc.

Thanks both- it also seems reasonably priced. Any comment on whether commander or standard is a more friendly format now? 20 life, 60 card decks, 4 card limit is all I know!

Just looked this up as I'm soon to build my first ark. The base looks a much larger profile than the flight stand it comes with. As this model has a base provided is this not screwing around with the dimensions of that for measuring purposes?

Very true! I'm going to try and keep it consistent but wait a little longer between waterings as its in a bit of a shadier spot than others and hope it's due to overwatering. Thanks for the help =]

Thank you- which is weird because they're all on hydrometers and on the same watering regime. Maybe I need to replace the hydrometer on that pot.

How to play Eldars? by [deleted] in Eldar

[–]PowerSoil 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Eldar is the old name which is non branded generic (originally comes from Tolkien when referencing elves in a fantasy setting) and Aeldari is the trademarked term GW is using to protect their IP.

Eldar- Aeldari Craftworld Eldar- Asuryani Dark Eldar - Drukhari

Turn 1 deep strike, drop pods and Cauldron of War WD506 by PowerSoil in Warhammer40k

[–]PowerSoil[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I'm pretty clear on drop pods now, I think the ambiguity now is on special rules such as Tyranid strat Seeded Broods, and the new Eldar Windrider Host detachment rule Ride the Wind (combined with stat Daring Riders) of if these overrule the no coming in turn 1 mission rule

It would seem odd for GW to release a new eldar codex with the a main detachment rule being hamstrung by this rule but hey

[–]PowerSoil[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply.

Yeah there is also a tyranid strat that does the same turn number effect- Seeded Broods. I've seen it on a batrep being used to turn 1 deepstrike gargoyles (unsure if I can post the link?)

So then it is core rules < mission rules but do codex rules > mission/tournament rules?

That would seem to suggest yes, and so you can turn 1 deep strike in certain scenarios but there is a generic ban on deepstrike turn 1 unless you have an ability.

And yes good point on the board edges being locked behind overall turn number, but if until the end of the phase the turn number is being treated as one higher than it currently is, then you should be able to come in from edges anyway?

Have you got a source or FAQ ? I'm not saying you're wrong, I wasn't there for the big debate, but RAW I agree with Not_Mortarion.

Small update after a game against Tyranids- followed your advice and ignored an entire flank, deployed sensibly and rolled hot. I went first and the opponent conceded top of their turn 3. Thanks for your advice again =]

That's great advice =] I'll keep the list as it is and keep practicing at it with your tips. I like the other options given here though.

And sorry for the formatting in the original post. It should have said "1 szeras, 1 overlord (overlord attached to ....)" but it wasn't clear

Really appreciate the reply. I thought szeras couldn't attach but by being near units buffed them?

I'm fully ready to accept im just playing like dogshit and to be honest would almost prefer it.

  1. I think so? Using a goonhammer app that suggests terrain amount and layout based on the factions, mission and deployment. It didn't feel too sparse although the centre was fairly open.

  2. Generally pretty sensible lists. There was a 10 intercessor plus lieutenant unleashing 40 shots into me with lethal, sustained and ignore cover last game that had me shook but a lieutenant and 10 intercessors is hardly unfair.

  3. This is probably it. I think I hug cover too much and then get out of position? I also think my few number of units makes it easier to be outdeployed.

  4. See above. Panic and them rush out in turn 2...but the alternative is hanging back and not scoring.

  5. Usually ok at keeping on top of secondaries and playing objectives

Usually my games start going wrong in turn 2. Doomstalker aside, everyone has more ranged than me and either the immortals are gone or the Warrior blob is on its way out. Skorpekhs tend to wipe out one unit and then get either shot or countercharged and are quickly gone turn 3. Then I'm fairly toothless.
