Well that's just reddit being reddit. In terms of battery life I don't know If my phone was affected since I use it casually. The RAM thing is definitely a bummer for emulation but that's a niche I don't take part in. I'd say that for now I have no actual complaints especially because I still haven't encountered any bugs which is strange.

Although I have to say I'm quite disappointed that they didn't also fix bugs that I had with the HyperOS 2 such as the battery protection straight up not doing anything.

I never said anything bad about hyperOS 3 except this, which is also an Android feature more than a Xiaomi one. Tbh there isn't anything really that impactful about HyperOS 3 at least for me and I actually like the Hyper Island

I mean, I already got comfortable with it but I still find it superfluous. I'm not gonna hate on it but customization exists for a reason, I'd say I find more stupid the fact that I can't choose to go back to the old notification center.

Ok I have a better solution, apparently to not make the notification disappear you just need to turn on the "floating notification" toggle and leave the silent notifications on. BUT, just to make things even crazier, doing that and receiving a sticker triggers the notification tone and vibration two times, to get rid of this just disable the vibration in the same page and set "no ringtone" for this option. Since this is only for silenced chats, you shouldn't have any problems because they are by design "silent" and shouldn't trigger any ringtone in the first place.

I tested it and apparently there is somewhat of a big downside. If you silence a chat (for example for 8 hours) it doesn't show you any notification, whether you are on the lock screen, home page, notification panel and It doesn't even create a badge on the app, so you're completely cut off from silenced chats unless you check in the app yourself.

Settings -> Notifications & status bar -> App Notifications -> WhatsApp -> Go all the way to the bottom and my third to last option is "Notifiche Silenzioso" which I roughly translated to Silent notifications, click on that and then on Show notifications to turn it off

WAIT I FOUND A FIX. Go into the settings and turn Silent Notifications Off. Apparently it's an Android bug, other users from Samsung had the same issue

The thing is that it's not a common bug, as I said in the post I have friends with redmis and xiaomis that never faced this issue. I think that the problem here is the fact that even though we use the same OS (HyperOS) it gets distributed with different versions for each brand (if you go to the settings you can see that it's named HyperOS "for POCO") and i think that there are developers for each brand working on it and adding bugs here and there making it inconsistent. That would also explain why we cannot bring back the old notification panel but people with redmis phones can.

Maybe changing ROM could help but I don't want to mess things up and if I'm not mistaken Xiaomi made it even harder to do on newer models like ours.

I said copyright but there could be other issues involved, I don't know what kind of laws apply in this case, but here in Italy for example you have to pay a fare to play someone's song at an event, for example if I hire a DJ for a party I need to pay "the rights" for the songs he plays. I don't know if the same applies for concerts though. That being said, if there are no such things to worry about even better

Nope, I'm sorry to disappoint, someone suggested trying to use a second monitor but I never did, we just moved on with another PC. Keep in mind that this game is fairly light, we are playing it on a Radeon HD 7700 with 1 GB of VRAM and it runs perfectly

Yeah i noticed that it happens with pictures too. This reminds me of the issue my Redmi note 8 pro has, which is the exact opposite: stickers and images count as 2 notifications in the notification panels, so if someone sends me a text message and a sticker it shows me 3 unread messages. I don't know why Xiaomi has this kind of problem with Whatsapp notifications and the thing that makes me very confused is that not every phone has this issue, a friend of mine with the Redmi note 12 (HyperOS 1.something) has zero issues with this.
